Great At Delivering, Rubbish At Customer Service!
So I spent a total of 2 hours, trying to sort this Online Business Account, on 2 separate occasions but to no avail. Their online portals send me round in circles much like their support centres who transferred me 4 times. After about half an hour getting through their automated message which tells business customers to call a 0845 line which charges (I was calling off a mobile and have no land-line available, not exactly prepared to pay 5p a minute either), I was put through to a lady who explained that she needs to put me through to a 'Nursery Business Help Line'? Bit undermining, but okay. Once patched through, I was spoken to like a child. Every-time I speak to one of their call-centre 'representatives'; if I can really call them that, they've been extremely unhelpful and frankly, quite rude. She then hung up on me when I started asking questions! Not the first time this has happened from their call-centres either! Maybe it's policy? Who knows. All I can say is, I'd give it a ZERO but that's not possible. The worst part? I wanted to send ONE international item that I can't send through RM on eBay as it just directs me to their parcels.royalmail page and I can't send through their parcels webpage because of the above!!! Nightmare!

Major Problems With Address Formats / Address Book
There are lots of fields in the address book to enter information but only a few of them are actually printed out!!
For example, the company name field, building name, 3rd line of address are ALL ignored on print or reformatted when saved. How can you NOT print out the company name field!!
When I first started using online postage 2-3 years ago this was not the case. All the fields printed and were saved with the contact.
It looks like the franking companies have paid RM to employ some idiot to deliberately mess things up so it is unusable.
If these problems were fixed I would give it 5 stars, as otherwise it works.
I Sent 3 Packages To The Republic Of Ireland 2 Wee
I sent 3 packages to the Republic of Ireland 2 weeks ago, by express mail , a phone to my mom especially for someone who is registered blind, a phone case for my nephew and a pull out one direction sofa for my niece for Christmas and all first class, signed and tracking, now that Xmas has come and gone , no packages arrived and everyday checking online to track and now Royal Mail said they can't track the package once in the post in Ireland ? So why make me pay over £40 pound for a system that wouldn't work, so besides the £40 pound for post and packaging , and £100 for the gifts, it's the disappointment my family felt. There is nothing they will do for me. Or they won't refund me. Prob one of the Royal Mail staff stole the parcels. It's disgusting and Royal Mail should take responsibility for this. Will only ever use courier services from now on. Now my family sent me money by post over a week ago and worried it won't reach here. Wish they would have told me prior to that as I would have told them not to do that. Another great member of Royal Mail stealing 200 euros.
I would love an apology or just to say we are sorry for such staff.
Or just for them to recognize there is an issue. Glad they are being sold as Royal Mail are a joke.
A joke! Royal Mail? Never use them.

Royal Mail Sorting Depot Croydon
I must praise the honesty & efficiency of the Team who sort the mail at Croydon depot Beddington Farm Road off Purley Way. Asif and his staff in Surcharge Department located my 3 envelopes containing cash totalling £2,200 which I accidentally put in a Pillar box in SW20.My envelopes were kept safe until I collected them & Asif refused to accept any reward saying It is all in a day's work while sorting 1 million pieces of mail. Top job Great customer relations I am eternally grateful.

What Should Be An Excellent Service, Royal Mail On
What should be an excellent service, Royal Mail online postage, is let down by poor implementation and bad support. As I am discovering an address has many formats around the world. Unfortunately Royal Mails interpretation fails to accommodate some of these formats. What is worse you have no way to preview what it has opted for until you have paid, by which time it is too late, they have taken your money and you can no longer chage the way the address is presented. The preview before purchase just prints out their address fields, so your address is not shown. After payment the 'recommended' shows you the adress as it will be printed BUT no option to change!. Beware,Royal Mail online pstage does not allow for some special foreign word characters.
Unfortunately, though I post reports back, nothing happens. So beware unless bog standard address, do not use or risk wasting your money.
I found this review very helpful because...
It is entirely accurate and echoes my experience exactly. My only criticism is that I would lower the star rating, as it is often easier just using stamps!
Their Business logo service is a joke unless you produce vast quantities of mail, in which case franking would be easier and cheaper.

I Have Been Using The Personal Print Postage Onlin
I have been using the personal print postage online system for over a year now. It is so convenient to print straight onto the envelope and just pop it in the post. I send cards and packages to relatives in the UK and New Zealand. It takes you step by step through how much (you need to weigh it), what service and print to envelope or label. I top up my account and just use as I go along. There is an online address book which is handy and if a customs form is needed it gives you the option to print out a copy to attach to your package. If I cannot get to the post box before the postage expires (end of next day) it is possible to get it refunded. I sometimes print recorded delivery and have to take it to the Post Office to get the certificate of posting - but it is still more convenient to prepay than mess about with cash. I will never buy a stamp again!
