The True Story About The Sbs Insurance
hi to all who will be reading this true story of mine that I had with SBS Insurance over the past few months. All the people who work for SBS were kind, I thought why they were like that to me, because behind their kindness lies the real truth, because they convinced the customers that the money they want to offer as a replacement for the item we submit a claim for is correct. While sorting and cleaning my bedroom, my Sony Android TV fell from a slightly higher chest of drawers and the screen broke, when it fell, it fell on the carpet at an angle so that it made a big hole not only on the carpet but also on the floor. I've been paying for expensive insurance for years and I've never made a claim before, this is the first time. The insurance asked for proof to send in pictures, which I did. The television cost me a few pennies less than £1,800.00 + £399.00 for the 5 year warranty. The woman from SBS insurance offered less than £1,000.00, to replace the carpet the insurance chose the cheapest carpet and very poor quality so when the guys installed the carpet I had to vacuum a bit with a vacuum cleaner so in 10 minutes of vacuuming the vacuum cleaner filled three times, when I looked at more I have noticed places where the lining or the base of the carpet can be seen on the carpet. I immediately sent the proof to SBS insurance, they promised to send another one, but I already returned all the things to the bedroom, which took me over seven days to empty the room because I had to dismantle everything first, a large wardrobe, chest of drawers, etc. because I am single. In the meantime, I had to go to a funeral abroad and I informed the insurance after 30 minutes of talking with the insurance lady, the agreement was that the fitters would bring a replacement and leave it so that after returning from abroad, I would find someone to help me install that carpet. One day before my departure abroad, the carpet was delivered and I signed again for the delivery of the carpet and installation again. 5-10 minutes after the delivery guys left, three of them came back and told me that I had to return the carpet, I said no problem but you have to empty the bedroom because I can't do it so quickly by myself, the team leader replied that it's not their job, they took the carpet they had brought that day. I'm out of the UK now but when I get back I'll have to contact my lawyer for help with this problem. Just want to thank DG for a really fast efficent service - knows her tools and equipment. Got a very quick response to my claim and would highly recommend their service. I had no problems with the agent - her knowledge and expertise.

No evidence has been offered in support of the derisory amount offered.
Sham trying to fob me off without any explanation or justification.
Do not expect this company to act in good faith.

Avoid this company if you want to retain your sanity they are dubious and look for any excuse to make sure you hit a brick wall when you make a claim. Avoid.

Cannot thank the SBS team enough for repairing my engagement ring. I was devastated to loose the sapphire from the centre of my ring and unable to find the stone anywhere! Via our insurance company SBS organised the repair in an efficient and friendly manner. I was kept in the loop the whole way through the process and was even given options on the colour of stone they used. The ring looks like brand new and now makes my wedding ring look grubby! Thank you so much.

Q&A
How do they work please my insurance company has put me in contact with them but not sure how they work?
If damage to a carpet is in a few different places (due to a over enthusiastic siberian husky) what are sbs repairs like? Also, my own insurance company the Halifax did say that it I may be given options for example a cash settlement but this would be discounted heavily. Has anyone had a cash settlement instead and was it a fair price? Thank you for reading in advance.
My phone was sent away Thursday 26th June 2015 to have a screen repaired and I genuinely need it back by the 6th of July as I am travelling to America for 3 weeks and I suffer from stress anxiety, and not having my phone for the safety aspect does not help! I was wondering if there is any way this is possible? Any way to hurry the repair up. I really do need it back asap. I would appreciate genuine answers please.

If they are aware of the urgency- they will usually do all they can to help - but they do have a 5 day turnaround - it may be worth giving them a call to see how things are going
