I only give one star, when I am in the firm belief I have been treated in an unlawful manner. This company is awful, I mean truly awful.

I called to arrange a policy, originally buildings but also contents when I realised this would be needed for carpets and flooring etc (during that call).

Heist was mentioned numerous times. Why would all this be relevant if contents were not insured? In case the building was lifted?! I was even asked the value of the flooring being fitted, why would this be asked if it wasn’t covered?!

The premium was paid, documents issued did not cover contents. When I realised what extra it was to cover contents, it was cheaper to write off the £86.24 I'd be charged for cancelling. Yes £86.24 i.e. almost half of what you can get a policy for elsewhere.

Kind of explains why you hear so much negative said about the industry.

Worst of all, I knew their records would prove my case. Towergate; if you dispute the above; send them to review centre.

Held Policy since 2002 ........Upstairs neighbour water ingress to our home ; contacted insurance Co. who then refused payout due to building material of which they DO NOT insure , returned 6 months worth of premium due to their incompetence and error; cannot tell you how much pain , cost , stress and debilitation this caused on the family !!!

This insurance company is a joke and will cause you untold grief and loss of money - DO NOT in any circumstances use this corrupt company at your pearl !!

Do NOT use this company. They take your money and do not pay up when something goes wrong. I had a smashed iphone which was just ten days old. They offered me ONE THIRD of the cost (not what my policy says, it says new) or to fix it. They “fixed” it and it’s come back still broken. All they did was replace the screen when the actual phone was damaged. I was promised a call back from a manager an hour ago. Useless incompetent firm. Avoid them

Don't go to this company my policy went up £109 this year from £566 to £676 with no reason if I paid monthly was £63 now £74 I have got 5 other Quotes and the dearest quote I've had is £475 towergate was going to charge me £30 to cancel I wasn't just not renewing policy as in my reminder it says I've got 14 days to cancel be carefull look around I've gone to Paul baker insurance better cover on policy AND CHEAPER AT £345 a big saving on towergate be warned shop around

I could claim for criminal damage on my touring caravan whilst it was stored on a seasonal pitch if

Police were informed and attended the site to see the damage and supply a written report !!!

An investigation was carried out by tower gate officials including door knocking on the campsite !!!

impossible demands !!! my house was burgled and I was issued with a crime number

Basically the claim criteria is impossible to achieve and no pay out.DISGRACEFUL AVOID.

Had a renewal quote from them with automatic renewal, which i didn't sign up for. I have emailed the person I dealt with to say i will not be renewing, she replied with an 0800 number whivh doesn't exist. Got through to them on the 0344 number pressed option 1 on hold for 10 minutes and then cut off (their end). Called back to cancel and have been told i was not on for the automatic renewal, but they would of auto renewed anyway. So they have cost me my time and getting irate with undue stress to complete a simple task i never had to do. Horrible to deal with. Never again. Now they have cancelled my policy with 12 days still to run. Avoid like the plaque.

Do not even get a quote. They bombard you with emails which you cannot unsubscribe from. Trying to contact them is a nightmare. Customer service is non existent, in fact the person I spoke to was the rudest ever. Nasty and money grabbing, avoid at all costs

Please do not use this company for your static caravan insurance, they will happily take your premium and wriggle out of paying out on a claim, I have used these for five years and never had any reason to claim until recently we had a water leak from a valve on the boiler which soaked the floor beneath the boiler and shower cubicle, the shower had to be removed to dry out the floor but got damaged in the process as its constructed in one piece when the caravan was manufactured, filed a claim with them for the cubicle only to be told I'm not covered as I deliberately removed the shower and broke it to dry the floor out!! Never mind the money I saved them by drying everything out myself, never again is this company going to have more money off me!!

Apart from the terrible/slow service I received when needing to extend their Camerasure cover. It turns out the coverage that was promised in the sales call was not actually in the policy that was sold to me. I found out the hard way when trying to make a claim.

I asked around and it seems like this type of claim is fairly normal and usually pays out without any problems . A real disgrace. Also troubling that I was living with inadequate cover for years.

The make matters worse, the policy was far more expensive than the new plan I've found with a reputable agent.

Absolutely appalling service. Subject of ongoing complaint referred to Financial Services Ombudsman. Do NOT give this company your business.
