Lack Of Clear Instruction Booklet Caused Problems

Lack of clear instruction booklet caused problems from unpacking, You only have a series of not very clear drawings to guide you. Filter didn't sit properly in the lid, rolled up at sides, also needs replacing every 15 uses. Only 1 filter supplied and no information as to where to obtain more. Not clear how to operate the oil filter system. One of the instruction pictures showed pouring oil from a saucepan into the fryer, so assume you have to dispense the oil from the cartridge into a saucepan and then tip back into fryer. When lifting the fryer using the side handles the whole top of the fryer comes off unexpectedly. If any oil in it would be likely to spill. Didn't actually cook in it as didn't think it was worth the money, so acked it up and took it back to shop. Would not recommend

Potentially Dangerous Item! I Read Some Other

POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ITEM!

I read some other reviews on this saying that some people have experienced leaks but bought it anyway. Having just gone into the kitchen, I found all of the oil from the fryer on the floor! The drain knob was still in the correct 'fry' position and the collection box underneath is enpty but the oil had leaked, not into the collection box but through the drain mechanism in the centre of the collection box and onto the worktop and then onto the floor. It looks like an inherently faulty design or incorrectly fitting drain plug. I consider this a very dangerous product due to the fact that 190 Deg C oil can potentially leak out onto the work surface/floor, particularly of concern if there are young children or pets in the house. Luckily, in my case, there wasn't anyone around but it did waste the oil and took a while to clean up. I will be taking the product back to the store but wanted to flag this problem before someone potentially is hurt by the bad design of this product.
