Britannia Is A Terrible Company
I would never buy from Britannia. I definitely do not recommend. Their ovens are badly made and break and they offer terrible customer service.

Looks fantastic but that does not make it a good oven I wish I had read the reviews . The main problems are uneven browing of cakes , thermostat inaccurate, therefore need an oven thermometer inside. The oven when cooking cakes, gas hob has large burners but low heat out put, my previose cooker for the last 15 years was a Lacanche cluny gas and electric and I now wish I had just replaced it with the same as cooking was so easy power out put amazing . the Britania Delphi is a poor in build quality and performance.

Had I'd Seen These Reviews I Would Not Have Brought It!
I brought my Britannia range cooker based on design,I wanted a separate grill and storage, looks , size and colour.
I could not find a 100cm range cooker in cream with a separate grill and although I have not had the problems other have had I would not recommend Britannia Cookers.
The ovens do not cook evenly as other reviewers have mentioned.
My problems are mostly cosmetic. The badge fell off within weeks but Britannia did send me a replacement, during the warranty period the enamel started to flake off the grill door which Britannia replaced but when the engineer opened the package the replacement was chipped so had to wait for another replacement.
Over a period of time the enamel flaked off all the doors and the control facia which, give them their due Britannia replaced.
I feel that given the price 4k+ Britannia has a very poor build quality, all style over quality.
My Britannia is now 7 years old and given what I've read I dread the future but I still love my cooker it's so beautiful and very easy to clean (I have the ceramic hob) but a bit of a beast to control except the rotisserie which is brilliant .
Couldn't get the bulb cover off in the main oven, rang Britannia for advice , very nice girl suggested their special removal tool, why wasn't this supplied with the cooker !Well I've ordered it and a bulb £25+, let's see if it works.

Shocking Waste Of Money
Terrible cooker for the price everything has broken on it and the Britannia engineers try to charge ridiculous prices for service and parts and you will be ringing them often if you buy one of these pieces of junk.
Just to list the problems..
The door has fallen of
the igniters all stopped working
The oven seal went
The engineers are rude and very very expensive.
I have owned this cooker for 5 years. I had an engineer out about three times in the first year. My oven seal failed after a short time. A gas ring had a leak and had to be replaced, several igniters have had to be replaced. A thermostat and a fan in the main oven have also been replaced. I'm waiting to hear back from a local engineer qualified to work on gas appliances regarding another faulty gas ring.
Its also a pain to clean all the bits and pieces associated with gas hobs, especially after frying. I will never buy Britannia again! An expensive lesson.

Complete Rubbish - 4 Yrs Old And 6 Service Engineers Visits
When I purchased my Britannia Cooker for over £4000 I though I was buying a top quality cooker from a British Manufacturer. That was a mistake. They're made in Italy and shipped over here where the badge is stuck on the front. Now, we all know the quality of Italian electrical items (remember Alfa and Fiat). We've had nothing but trouble with it. I've had 6 visits now and it's just gone wrong again. The timer has failed 3 times, the knobs fall off, the ignition fails and now the 'speedy' heat-up oven failes to speedily heat up and turns it's self off. They've so far done everything under warranty as I created so much they kept extending it. Lets see if they do it again... I doubt it. The last cooker we had was a Belling and cost £1500. That lasted 15 years without 1 problem.. There you go Britannia - try taking a leaf out of their book.

Absolutely rubbish. We've had it for 3 years, they've been out once already (our expense) and it's broken again. As others have noted, the thermostat is unreliable and has finally packed up totally.
Looks nice in the showroom, but build quality is rubbish and starts to look tatty very quickly. Steer well clear!

I Have Had One Of These Britannia Sigma Cookers Fo
I have had one of these Britannia Sigma cookers for just under three years now (Stainless steel, 90cm duel fuel, double oven). I have to say that I am rather disappointed with it. There are several irritating design issues that make it difficult to use (need to bend down all the time to see what each knob does, the main oven switch feels very cheap, oven lights last about 6 months before blowing). The oven thermostat is very inaccurate and cooks way too hot (my wife still can ' t get a cake to bake properly). The grill only covers the back two thirds of the main oven which means that any food placed at the front will not cook properly. The arrangement of the pan stands are not great, we don't use it that much but already the top is looking very scratched and tired. The rotisserie lost part of the mechanism, it just fell out, I found it on the kitchen floor and luckily I realised what it was and was able to fit it back in. All in all not a great experience.
What really annoyed me was that the cooker stopped working completely a few weeks ago (blew the main fuse) Britannia then charged me £140 to fix it, a job that took all of 15 minutes, despite the Britannia engineer saying that this was a fairly common problem on their cookers. Had I gone back to the company I bought it off I would have had the repair done for free under the sale of goods act. I really don ' t expect a £2000 cooker to last under 3 years before breaking down.
The cookers look fabulous in the showroom but my experience of their usability, reliability, and customer care from Britannia leave a lot to be desired.

I Have Owned The Britannia Sigma Cooker For Just O
I have owned the Britannia Sigma cooker for just over 3 months now, and I am delighted with the overall looks and performance. The Sigma model I think was worth the extra (quite a lot extra) as you get the stay clean liners as standard. It also has slightly chunkier styling.
