Unusable
So I’ve just had a new kitchen fitted that came with the Lamona cooker and hob, every time we use the cooker it fills with water, engineer came out couldn’t of been any less interested and then said well don’t cook frozen food in it, didn’t check or even turn the oven on, have had them back a second time to be told maybe it’s the seal, was told this would be replaced but 2 months on still haven’t been replaced, oven is still unusable as just too dangerous to use. As for the hob you are unable to use all 4 together as it just turns the whole hob off, if 2 are on the highest setting this again turns the whole hob off, again another engineer visit who said it wasn’t wired correctly, surprise surprise it still doesn’t work. I would not recommend any Lamona appliances to anybody.

Id Give It Zero Stars If It Was An Option
Absolutely terrible product. Had it fitted on Christmas eve. Cooked my Christmas dinner in it and it was horrible. Roast potatoes were in for 1 hour despite cooking instructions stating 40 minutes.
They came out solid.
Fast forward to today (1/1/24)
Cooked the same roast potatoes again today….. 2 trays , exact same potatoes (m&s) on the same shelf.
One tray was burnt and raw and the other was pale and slightly cooked. They were in for an hour.
Wish i could upload a photo but i cant see the option.
Hoping i can get a refund from Howdens when they reopen. Ill not hold my breath!!!
Will be purchasing a Hotpoint when the shops reopen.
Stay clear from this monstrosity of a product.

Absolutely Awful
Bought this as recommended by Howdens. Despite them designing the kitchen my builder said the double oven housing wasn't right and the small oven/ microwave had to sit directly on the big oven. After 2 months we couldn't close the door of the main oven so it wouldn't switch on. With Christmas days away I contacted Howdens who couldn't be less interested. My builder shamed them into supplying a new one which arrived Christmas eve but with no one to fit it. Started going again today. Utter rubbish. Wish Howdens has been honest when we asked about reliability.

Took The Oven Out After 2vweeks . Then The Microwave After 4
Took the oven out after 2 weeks then tha microwave after 3 weeks. The gas hob is useless. Put a pan on and it fall off onto the floor. Totally disgusting and very unsafe especially if you have children. Hate it going to change when I can afford.
Howdens Lamona Do Not Touch.
Purchased a kitchen for our first house from Middlesbrough Branch 2 months ago. Salesman was great but the kitchen and the appliances AWFUL. Oven hasnt worked from day one doesnt heat up enough to even cook food and now the intergrated fridge freezer is now completely broken. 8 weeks and now we cannot use our kitchen.
Really Bad
New kitchen fitted 2 years ago and the cooker is really bad. I have just had a very stressful attempt of cooking Christmas dinner which took 5 times longer than it should have done because the cooker was not heating up properly. Not impressed and definitely would not recommend.i thought it had been taking longer than it should have done to cook things but today showed me how bad it really is.
Do Not Buy Lamona Products
Purchased a new kitchen at howden 4 years ago with all new lamona intergrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, hob oven and microwave..within 6 months hob went (lucky still under guarantee) so repair free...but I have had to replace fridge/freezer..repair washing machine, door on microwave and now dishwasher is starting to play up...the worst purchase I have ever made buying lamona products would never recommend .....avoid not the cheapest surely products should last more than 2 years...

Don't Buy Lamona
Bought a Lamona via Howdens just under five years ago. Now it trips our circuit on opening the door. No Lamona engineer will look at it because it is out of the two year guarantee period. Appliance repair companies won't look at it because it is Lamona and difficult to test and work with. Local electricians can't do a diagnosis because the Lamona design prevents this.
Howdens quoted £689 for a replacement (integrated cooker and microwave Lam 7001-1.)
Am not prepared to stomach this bill in the current situation where goodwill on my part is absent towards Lamona and Howdens.
Now I discover that, so far, every other make is 595 mm wide cabinet width and Lamona is 550mmwide. Banjaxed again.
I would like to have known that Lamona don't support their appliances after two years. I would also like Howdens to have informed us that repairs are virtually impossible. I routinely reject insuring new appliances because it is usually an optional extra that is not necessary. This situation is 'engineered' in my opinion by Lamona. Had I known I would have considered insurance in a different light.

Another Lamona Oven Disaster
Bought a brand new kitchen from Howdens which came with Lamona appliances. Oven is as described by other reviewers. Takes ages to cook, doesn't cook evenly. Food burns at bottom and cols on top. Howdens refusing to replace it because their engineer put a thermometer in and said "oh yes it's hot". With this number of reviews it ought to be a product recall. Am starting an official complaints process with Howdens customer service.
Q&A
just changed the element on a lamona 3400 fan oven.this does not heat up at all,the one that was replaced looked ok,so would it be the thermostat ?!!!!!!
I bought a Lamona double fan oven LAM4601 in September 2013.Had to have fan repaired in May 2015 it now needs attention again. Are the fans on these ovens prone to faults as both of these have failed under the 2 year guarantee period. I hope this will be repaired again under guarantee as I have no intention on paying for another fan for it to fail again within 2 years
My temperature settings have been rubbed off the dial. How can I get new ones?
I have a Lamona S/S single fan oven, LMA 3400, in my brand new Howdens kitchen, and now have a second date (but not until March 2nd) for an engineer to call to check why it is not heating properly. (The first appointment was cancelled at 12.00pm on the day he was due) I was finding that food was not cooking or browning properly, so purchased an oven thermometer which confirmed my suspicions that the oven is taking ages to heat up, and is operating at between 30 and 45 degrees below the set temperature.
My question today is:-- Can I return this appliance right now, and have my money back? After reading reviews from other people who have bought this appliance, I really do not wish to have to keep trying to get someone to look at it, only to find, (as many other customers appear to have), that I wish I had done more research and bought a different product to start with.
I sympathise totally with you. I bought a Howdens kitchen (which is good) and bought all the appliances with it (which are terrible)
Howdens should be ashamed to be selling such second rate appliances with their kitchens. I found out too late, also, that I should have done my homework and stayed well clear of the white goods they peddle with their units. I had nothing but trouble with my oven (including the common problem of the glass shattering). I had never been happy with the oven, and pies and cakes just didn't cook properly at all. Eventually I had enough and bought a replacement ( as it was after the years guarantee) and I have had no trouble with my new one (needless to say - NOT a Lamona one) I also had to replace the washing machine just after the year. To answer your question though, is it still within the year's guarantee? They have to fix it by law, but of course that still leaves you with an inferior product but you may get a few more months out of it. Replacement ovens are not too expensive and would certainly give you peace of mind. Good luck!
We have a Lamona oven fitted in a Howdens kitchen. We thought the door seal had gone and so replaced it. Still heat was escaping from the side of the door, so much that the veneer on the cupboard doors of the cooker housing have "melted". What should I do? Don't buy!
How do you take out the inner glass in the door for cleaning?
The numbers have rubbed off my Lamona oven and gas hob. Does anyone know if I can buy transfers or decals to replace them please?
Just bought a house with this inbuilt cooker, but there is no manual with it. Do you know where I can get one from please?
Our Lamona oven is tripping our electrics roughly about 20-30 mins after the oven is switched off its 15 months old and we have had 5 engineers out. One suggested it was our electrics and we got the cable rewired and it still tripped. The 2nd visit suggested it was the grill element and when the 3rd guy came out, he brought the oven element in error and on the 4th visit the engineer never brought any elements and said it’s not the element and could be the fan switch which was replaced on the 5th visit and is still tripping my electrics. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Where can I get a manual for the Howdens Lamona LMA300?
