Nasty Piece Of Work

I bought this oven from Howdens it was not cheap for oven and hob £700..what a rip off there is no quality workmanship there. Made in Turkey, seals round the door melted, replaced element. Its now belching acrid smoke. It had to go after 3years. Please avoid at all costs...liked nothing at all about it..

Durability

Very Poor.

We moved into a house with a new Howden's kitchen. The oven was never very good and difficult to bake with.

Coming up to two years in, the cooker element went. I replaced it, discovering when I did so that that the Howden's joiner had actually secured the oven with a single screw

New element? About £30. Two weeks later the fan went. A new one cost around £35, still cheaper than a new oven and there were only two other components that could possibly go wrong. The thermostat and the clock.

One week after I replaced the fan, the clock went. Cost of replacement, around £60. Really poor components.

Everything About This Oven Is Poor

This oven was fitted with my new, expensive kitchen from Howdens. The hot steam that billows out when the door is open is very dangerous. The temperature set is rarely achieved and it's impossible to keep the oven door clean particularly between the glass. Overall very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone else.

What A Load Of Rubbish!

We purchased a Lamona 3212 oven as part of our new kitchen 2 years ago. Steam gets under the inner glass and when the oven door is opened the hot steam pours out of the oven and is very dangerous. We have to jump back, which is hard to do with a dish of roast potatoes in our hands.

The inner glass is now filthy because we are frightened to remove door and inner glass for cleaning as the reviews and warnings of exploding oven glass, especially after cleaning, are plentiful.

We cannot understand how this product is still allowed to be sold by Howdens. We called at their premises yesterday, they rang Lamona in Liverpool, who wanted to charge nearly £150 for a call-out.

2 years ago we had a confrontation with Howdens, because the Lamona integral fridge inner top door kept breaking. They told us it was nothing to do with them. As Lamona is ust a trade mark owed by Howdens, we stood in their shop and refused to move until we got a refund. nlike we will have to do the same over the rubbish cooker.Anyone else experienced these faults?
