Magimix 11154 Robot Café 500 Auto

Our Magimix 11154 Robot Caf 500 Auto has withstood the test of time. We have had ours 7 years. Fortunately when it did need fixing last year we were living in France, where it cost us EURO 70. But it's now fine once again.

We have had our Magimix 11154 Robot Caf for 3 years now with very little go wrong on an odd occasion every light has flashed and able to switch off but a call to customer service and they talked me through a quick extra clean procedure not in the book it has sometimes also poured the coffee straight into the grounds tray at the back instead of in the cup but not too often and now it is leaking water from underneath but it has been used at least 6 times a day every day since we got it so it been well used and rather than pay to send it back to get fixed we feel our money would be better spent on a new one as it is worth every penny

This is great, we've had our for 2+ years, and touch wood nothing has gone wrong, it was pricey, but saying that normally twice a year we replace our machine, and this is great for anyone who doesn't like stewed pots of coffee, but saying that when you have people round for dinner you would prefer a nice pot rather than making two cups at a time.

My wife and I were delighted when we first purchased this Magimix 11154 Robot Caf 500 Auto. It produced great tasting coffee and we were able to alter the strength easily. However after a year the machine started producing weaker and weaker coffee. Having cleaned and descaled the machine on a regular basis we carried out this exercise again but to no avail. We sent the machine back to Magimix who informed us that all was need was a cleanse and a descale. However when we received it back the machine was no better than when we sent it to them. We therefore took the machine back to the retailer who exchanged it for another one. Any way we have had the latest machine for a year now and exactly the same sequence of events has occurred. I will never buy a another Magimix machine again!

I bought this coffee machine because I wanted to have easy to make quality coffee at the touch of a button, and it has provided me with this and I am very happy with it. after trying several variations of esspreso strengh and fluid setings and grind levels, and trying out different beans from supermarkets and local coffee bean shops, I have found a good strong bean from Tescos (french bold and strong intense strengh arabica beans), which suit me well. Now I don't have to bother filling and tamping down coffee grounds into a thingiemajig and having the hassle of cleaning it out and putting up with stray grinds in my espresso or latte or on the worktop! its all automated from grinding the bean to tamping down to a constant presure and pouring into my esspresso cup! the steamer is great to heat up your cup before pouring your esspreso or to heat up your milk for a latte although to wand could do with being a little longer and the tray would idealy be a bit lower and wider. but those are small grumbles. buy one and stick with it for a bit to be in real coffee heaven!
