Very Disappointed!
The kettle is great for about 6 months, then starts to leak from underneath, where the glass joins the plastic. It did this once, and I received a replacement kettle from the supplier straight away, which was great. However, the replacement kettle did exactly the same thing and I'm now very disappointed!

Our Salter 1001 Glass Kitchen Scale Failed. Won't
Our Salter 1001 Glass kitchen scale failed. Won't buy again, in fact, after this experience won't buy Salter again. Advice you too that if they no longer display do not bother buying new batteries - it's probably the scales that are dead.

I've Weighed Parcels On These Salter 1001 Glass Sc
I've weighed parcels on these Salter 1001 Glass Scales and the Post Office scales have given the same result to the nearest gramme. Unfortunately ours has just started showing "----" on the display all the time, so it is going back to Salter. It was a wedding present so we don't have the receipt; hopefully they'll honour the 10 year guarantee anyway.

This Salter Kitchen Scale Is A Lovely-looking Piec
This Salter kitchen scale is a lovely-looking piece of machinery, however, as it does not come with it's own measuring bowl, when you are weighing loose ingredients such as pasta, flour or sugar it is sometimes hard to get an accurate weight as if you're weighing such ingredients you need to have a very lightweight dish in which to weigh them. Our usual mixing bowls are far too heavy resulting in a problem where when you place the bowl onto the scale and hit zero, the scale will sometimes continue to fluctuate for ages. On the whole we've had few problems, however and it has been more accurate than our previous very cheap Argos scale.
