Hotpoint Ffa91 Fridge Freeze
This must be the worst fridge freezer ever designed and manufactured......the food freezes in the fridge section (not the freezer section), the freezer section builds up and overflows with ice so the door won't shut (so much for frost free), there is a constant pool of water on the floor, the pull out trays have all broken, the light falls off, it's noisy, the control panel is at the top so impossible to read, set or adjust........let me warn you DO NOT buy this unit, we've given up after 18 months, it's going to the scrap yard, and I will never, ever, ever buy a crappy Hotpoint product again....there....feel much better now.....
Hotpoint Fridge Freezer
i bought this fridge/freezer 5 months ago and it has already broken ,called hotpoint they are not interested, they said they will only fix the problem which is ice build up on the fan and the back panel. the engneer said this was manufacturer's fault eventhough the problem is fixed but it can happen again. the hotpoint are not taking any liability. i'm so stressed as their customer service is probably the world's worst one. IF YOU THINKING TO BUY HOTPOINT PLEASE THINK AGAIN. I WOULD NEVER BUY HOTPOINT AGAIN! .....

An Expensive Rust Bucket!!!
The freezer door and right hand side panel have numerous tiny rust spots, rendering the item disgusting to look at. Hotpoint are not interested, and as the colour is linen I cannot replace the door easily as the colour is obsolete. I also have a linen colour Hotpoint washer/dryer and I have had a lot of problems with this as well. I would never, ever buy anything Hotpoint again, and would never recommend to anyone.
I totally agree. I am having to form out for a new fridge freezer, when really I don't need to a mine does work, but it is so unsightly in the kitchen. It's supposed to be silver in colour but is rusted quite bad on both doors to he point were people that come round to my house have said OMG!whats happened to your fridge. I was a buyer of hotpoint for many years, but never again.

The Bottom Door Start To Rust ,
THE DOOR OF MY HOTPOINT FRIDGE START TO RUST LIKE SMALL DOT.SPECIALLY BOTTOM ONE. I DONT KNOW WHY. AND I DONT WANT IT TO LOOK OLD IN MY KITCHEN, I AM VERY HAPPY THE CAPACITY USE AND PERFORMANCE. ARE THERE ANY WAY THAT I CAN SPRAY PAINT TO COVER THIS. I FEEL VERY SAD

We had this freezer from new for 5 years and we expected better from Hotpoint.
We were experiencing problems from the start and was told that it was our fault for opening the fridge door! But it was under warranty so we took the repair Three visits from a repair guy and he replaced for free a part from Hotpoint. There must a have been a design fault from the start. The fridge freezer worked well for 4 years. It has now officially died. The fridge does not work and the freezer is running a bit warmer than would like. An engineer came and told us that liquid had shortened the PCB unit and he had never seen such a rusted up fan in his life.
This is a frost free unit so it does make some unusual noises.
We have bought a new fridge freezer and we will not be buying any major Hotpoint appliances again.

Don't Waste Your Money
We could paper a room with the receipts we've had from repairing this awful appliance. It makes loud 'cracking' noises and loud shuddering bangs from the base which the last repair man said was the motor hitting the side of the freezer.It started the day we bought it but stupidly as it was under warranty, instead of asking for a replacement we were talked into keeping it as it was covered.At last we can afford to dump it and buy a new one.We would NEVER buy another Hotpoint appliance. If anyone out there wants it they can have it for nothing. Maxine Bonner
We had exacly the same problem! awful from the start. We had a replacement model and this still made loud banging noises every few hrs and would wake us in the night!
We had to put up with this but still had 3 repair call outs for fan and leaking freezer.
The whole thing has now died and im really looking forward to our new LG fridge freezer. Will never buy Hotpoint again.

The cracking ice noises give you a shock every now and again also the draws breaking makes for an average fridge/freezer

I have had my freezer 8yrs have never had any reason to complain,NO iceing up,NO broken draws,NO broken shelving & we do put alot of weight on them,temperature stays consistant,NO leakages,over all has served us well.lucky me.

We Owned This Machine For Six Years And Were So Di
We owned this machine for six years and were so disappointed with it. From day one it made loud cracking noises which didn't sound right. The bottom compartment of the freezer regularly iced up and as a separate problem, the unit kept leaking water into the floor.
A week ago it stopped working and frankly we were delighted to see the back of it. We chose a different manufacturer.

I Have Had The Ffa90 For 8 Years From New Not A Si
I have had the FFA90 for 8 years from new not a single problem, only replaced 2 light bulbs in 8 yrs. I think it is now close to its working life. Icing up in the freezer at the bottom, defrosting. I am not sure if I will get it repaired. Its been worth every penny.
