Never again will i buy a Fisher & Paykel product

I bought one of these a year ago. I was a bit worried because of all the negative reviews but decided to risk it. It's a beautiful fridge and i much prefer the design to the traditional two door, american's. FP have good reason to be proud of it, it's a great piece of product design.

The bad:

- I've had two problems. The water in the door didn't work when i got the fridge. I called them up, they turned up within a week and fixed it.

- The condenser at the back made a buzzing noise and I had to wedge a bit of polystyrene behind it to keep it quite.

I've not touched other than that since it was installed.

The good.

It is a lovely design. The water dispenser takes up no room in the fridge itself. You get a fantastic open feel to the fridge itself. The ice maker works well. The finish is beautiful. I love it:) it has been very quiet since the above problem.

Lets just hope it doesn't break!

How can it look so good but be so rubbish. Doors scratch soooo easily. Customer service non existant. Consists of people reading out scripts about how sorry they are you feel that way. I am on my third week of no operational fridge without any signs of distress or speed from them. They and their two service companies play a great game of trading blame around. Buy from a well known brand with a proper uk customer base.

Do not ever buy a Fisher and Paykel Fridge Freezer with the ice that drops into the drawer below. I must have called them out every month whilst it was in guarantee. Now it's not I'm stuck with it. Either doesn't make ice, or drops water down so it freezes into one big lump.

I had a £2k fridge freezer delivered 2 weeks ago and it has never worked. Customer services are in New Zealand and they do not care. My advice is spend money on a brand with an infrastructure in the uk and who give a dam about the customer. I await a remedy some day!

Nice fridge but not durable. simple interior makes it easy to clean.

the handle broke off after 2 years. not the quality i expect for a $2000 fridge. checking online it seems this happened to a lot of people, so it's a case of faulty design/manufacturing. support was good, so at least i was able to order a replacement, but they made me pay for the part and shipping.

if i was to buy a similar fridge now i think i would get the Samsung RB194ACWP instead. same look and design, but less then half the price!

My handle just snapped in half after 5 years. Not the kind of quality I expect. It's the last thing that should happen to a refrigerator. Bad quality.

i bought my LG WM2032HW TROMM since six months ago. i initially encountered a problem with the lights inside the fridge. It was not working as it was intended. i immediately gave a call and there was an service engineer at my door in 20 mins. Really their service has improved.

I wanted a large capacity fridge with a small freezer as i have another freezer as well. This product the Fisher and Paykel E522BRXFDU is perfect proportions for my 4 person family. The fridge is easy to access with the wide door. Much better than a double door american style fridge freezer that has two slim sections each side. It looks great and is very easy to clean.

Would definitly recommend this product to anyone.

Yes, looking at other reviews some people have been unlucky but put this in to perspective any product can encounter problems. A cheap badly made product can break but so too can a well made, well designed one, thats the way of the world. Buy an extended warranty if your worried.

We'd heard of Fisher & Paykel and saw their adverts in magazines but never actually owned one before. Fantastic product, has a real feel of quality about it and is ver flexible in regards of how you can adapt the srorage areas inside.

We also Purchased a double drawer dishwasher which is even better,great space saving idea, you'd expect it to be german! It's from New Zealand of all places!

Purchased it from Dalzell's of Markethill - http://www.armaghelectrical.com in Northern Ireland, nice people, family firm. Dalzell's where only one of two places that actually stocked our appliances. Hope we see more of this brand.
