Bosch Logixx SMS53L02GB

This is my third Bosch dishwasher. Others lasted 8/10 years. This was a top of the range model. £500 +. It would cost more than £300 to repair. Probably good money after bad. Disgusted, might have well bought an Indesit. It would probably lasted longer.

I had previously been pleased with Bosch products and purchased the BOsch Logixx dishwasher model with the same high expectations of wash quality. I have been sorely disappointed. I would estimate that around 15%-20% of each wash comes out with a cruddy rough and unclean feel to it and needs re-washing. I use the detergent products recommended by Bosch and put the machine through an empty cleaning cycle on a regular basis again using proprietory products. The drying function doesn't do a great job either. One of the programmes now completes in 1 hour 10 mins when it should take 2 hours 30 mins.

So all in all, I'll reluctantly stick with the machine until the first time it breaks and then will gladly replace it with something probably not by Bosch.

Overall I am very pleased with my dishwasher. It is easy to load, cheap to run and extremely quiet. The only possible drawback is that it does not always dry things completely, I assume this is because less energy is used for the drying process on this model. Not a real problem and I am only talking about drips of water not soaking wet so a quick wipe with the tea towel on some items is all that is needed. There are only a few programs to choose from, which is great as most of us only ever use one or two anyway and an intensive zone option for dirty pots.

The best feature (for me) is the ability to change the height of the top basket. Set at its lowest I can get my large dinner plates in the top rack and fill the bottom one with pans on the intensive setting.
