Bosch SKT5102

I brought my dishwasher from a charity shop as im on benefits, this dish washer nearly killed me as it melted one of the components inside that allows the water to drain because it was leaking in the inside. This was a very scary moment for me and my boyfriend as the fact that im 5 months pregnant and could of set fire next to my boiler. i wouldnt recomend this dishwash because of that reason now its just been thrown out the window and will be dumped.

It broke down after 6 months. The Bosch engineer came out and said the plumbing by Tesco direct was wrongly done and that was the reason that it wouldnt drain properly. We were then charged £80 for the call out.

We then complained and got no where - Tesco Direct were good and sent us the plumbing instruction - they had installed iT CORRECTLY! The engineer was wrong. We then went back to Bosch cutomer services who refused to investigate the fault unless we paid the £80 fee - hence we were snookered.

Very frutrating experience and I would recommend NEVER BUY A BOSCH as the customer experience was so poor.

I had never had a dishwasher prior to this Bosch SKT5102. However, I have since had a new kitchen fitted and received a free slimline machine which after 20 uses I now wish I could get rid of it.

My Bosch out performs the larger machine hands down. I would recommend this machine to those that have the space for a larger machine purely for its performance. It cleans without leaving any soap or salt residue and the user is able to monitor the need to top up the machine with salt and rinse aid. Definately 10 out of 10

I've owned my Bosch SKT5102 sinktop dishwasher since 1998 and it is still working well, despite my living in a very hard water area and it being used twice every day. While friends' dishwashers have only lasted 3-5 years, mine is going strong after 10 years hard use. I'm certainly happy with the extra money spent on the Bosch.

I am very happy with this Bosch SKT5102 appliance. It has been used at least twice a day for the last 3 years. It is the second Bosch bench top model I have had, the first one began to decay as it reached 13 years old. It is used mainly for dishes and cutlery but can wash pans, I tend to put them in a separate wash due to the lack of space in the machine. It is, after all, a desktop model. If you live in a flat or, like me, have no floor space for a dishwasher then you should consider this model. It may not be the cheapest but it will pay for itself in the long run. Spares are also available on the internet.
