Hotpoint Fdw80

Owned the Hotpoint FDW80 dishwasher for a few years it has been repaired by Hotpoint 6 times and never really really washed very well. It has just almost burnt the house down with a lot of smoke and just started to flame when I caught it. Luckily I had a fire extinguisher. The dishwasher wasn't even switched on at the time. Reading other peoples reviews Hotpoint should be put out of business, they are endangering peoples lives, but they don't seem to care.

Will never buy Hotpoint or Indesit again.

Thankfully Have An Extended Warranty However Have

Thankfully have an extended warranty however have had nothing but problems with this machine. Am at my witts end as they keep sending out engineers to repair even though the engineers are here for almost 2 hours on their visits and costing me time and money in loss of wages. The machine keeps having a leak and even though I'm on my 9th repair indesit (hotpoint) have said they will continue to repair while they have parts. As they make the parts that would work out forever. The staff in indesit are RUDE and LIE and only log what they want and don't fulfill their promise of not insisting on another engineer being sent out. So am having my 9 visit next week so this should be interesting. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER EVER BUY HOTPOINT> look what happens when you try and buy local.

Thank God Its Finally Broken, Have Had Mine For A

Thank god its finally broken, have had mine for a few years now but had problem after problem with all manner of error codes from AL01 through to AL10

I had its fixed the first few times by the engineers but at £95 a call out I started fixing it myself a long while back (its surprising what you can find on u-tube and the internet)

Its flooded the kitchen countless times because of a faulty door seal but then wont do it again for weeks? alarm codes for things in the filter, what idiot designs a domestic dishwasher where you have to have a service engineer to clean out the filter?? (yer a bloody rich one!!)

It kept leaking onto the internal electrics and tripped out the whole house several times, now it looks like the heater element has gone and at a cost of£100ish I refuse to do it and can happily sent it to Hotpoint heaven. I am going to buy something cheap so if it breaks after a few years I don't feel obligated to keep on fixing it,

Truly The Biggest Pile Of Uselessness Ever Invente

Truly the biggest pile of uselessness ever invented. It doesn't clean properly, persistently breaks down with some obscure fault that is generally due to water getting in to somewhere it shouldn't and costs a small fortune to fix.

I'm on to my second one, as the first broke after 6 months and was replaced under warranty. The second one has broken down about 6 times in the last 2 years.

Hotpoint, or Indesit, are useless and perpetually try and sign me up for an extended warranty each time I report a fault.

I just want this dishwasher to die so that I can permanently banish it from my home and replace it with a Miele, which I understand are far more reliable.

Steer clear at all costs, unless you have a thing for the dishwasher engineer man!

Wish I had read the reviews before I bought mine as I have never ever seen such a pile of useless crap in all my life. And WILL NEVER EVER BUY HOTPOINT OR INDESIT again. The callers are rude and lie and won't let you talk to some deptments as they are TOP SECRET with no way of mailing them, emailing them or ringing them...mmmm yet they can.

I Have Been Using Fdw80 For Over Two Years, And I

I have been using FDW80 for over two years, and I concur with all other bloggers...this machine is rubbish. Finding out the root cause or repairing is not worth it. The machine is basically a cheap junk. Please buy a new one.

Do Not Buy This Product! This Machine I

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

This machine is absolutely rubbish. AL10 all the time, but with no way of finding out what it means or how to fix it. Has never cleaned the dishes properly and leaves a cloudy film on everything, our glasses are ruined as even hand washing them in Fairy Liquid will not restore them back to how they were. Terrible customer service. Have three Hotpoint appliances and will be replacing them all. Hotpoint appliances are annoying, a waste of money and time (re-washing everything by hand)and very badly designed/built. Shame on you Hotpoint, this product should have been recalled years ago!

Absolute Junk, With What Seem Like Several Serious

Absolute Junk, with what seem like several serious design faults. Reading others experiences online, it looks like they all suffer from the same problems. Lucky to get 6 months service from the unit between failures, nearly all related to the waste pipe touching the heating element and breaking.

Would never consider another Hotpoint product after this one.
