Indesit (Various Models)

I have a indesit DFG261B dishwasher from brand new and it is so poor. It has never washed and dried all the dishes clean. This is my experience regardless of the cycle the dishes are not all washed clean and the dishes are not fully dried either.

My washer is never overloaded, has rinse aid, salt and I use a leading brand "all in one" tablets

The troubleshooting guidance has made no difference as with each wash some dishes and cutlery have food residue.

Unfortunately there is nothing to like if you have to rewash dirty dishes already washed by your dishwasher.

Great communications on when they were going to arrive; polite and efficient. Dishwasher fitted expertly and cleanly. Highly recommend engineer!

Bought an Indesit DFG15B1 6 months ago. I have just arranged for engineer to come out to fix as it is not working and I cannot switch it off from the machine. This is an electrical control panel fault. Having spoken to local engineer he is unable to help as the Indesit one needs to reset with his computer. Is it any wonder that when I called the Indesit service centre they were so desperate to sell me the monthly care plan. If I joined the engineer would be out the next day as I was insistent that I wanted it looked at under the standard 1 year shoppers guarantee I need to wait extra 5 days! and of course they read out many circumstances where I may not be covered. I bought the machine having looked at the many good reviews on ao electrical web site. Having asked around about it in the last few days I now realise that they do have many issues. My advice is to avoid these machines and really do your homework on finding a machine with a good reputation for a working control panel as it seems from talking to people many types of machines have issues with these.

Bought an Indesit DVG622 dishwasher to replace our 20 year old but still working dishwasher. The Indesit is fine as long as you don't expect it to wash dirty dishes and don't want it to last any more than a couple of years. If anyone else has had the plastic handle on one of these break please let me know at [email protected]. I promise I will pass on every response I get to Indesit customer service department. A replacement handle if you want one is only £70 plus up to £80 to fit it!! Don't let the price fool you, these dishwashers are built to fail, dont buy Indesit or Hotpoint.

Had my Indesit IDE 45 s for 3 years. I have had it mended several times! It never got to work - I have given up on it now. It was expensive and it has coursed me nothing but troubble, time and money.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY from INDESIT- cheap and in the end expensive

I bought a slimline dishwasher within a month of it being fitted the controls had broken. You must fit as soon as it arrives it only has 1 month full guarantee SO Indesit informed me that they have a right to send in an engineer to repair it as many times as they want. The upshot -- he came 4 times to repair and replace different things. woman in customer care was rude eventually threatened the supplier with Consumer Advice - it cost me time and money - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

probably the worst possible option, going for the cheaper make is false economy as we found out. we have only had it 15 months and for 5 of those we have had to rewash many items. the most recent problem is stopping mid wash cycle and the element heating up and glowing dangerously hot while still washing. i would NEVER buy another Indesit poduct - our indesit washing maschine also blew up. don't touch them!

My Indesit dishwasher does not clean properly, have to handwash lots of things again every time esp. from top rack. Encrusted salt residue most times. Have to switch on several times to turn on. Don't even bother to put the following dishes in if you've had anything oily, mashed potato, lentils, rice etc etc - probably only if you've been eating salad!

After sale service from Indesit very poor - a dishwasher should last longer than 14 months - especially as it was only used 3/4 times a week!! I'd NEVER purchase anything made by Indesit/Hotpoint again.

The Indesit dishwasher was the cheapest of all the ones we looked at. So wanting to save a few quid it's the one we went for. So far it has been a decent machine with no major issues. Essentially it's a simple machine with no extra bells and whistles.
