Nice Quiet Machine

Just bought one nearly new. I was a little wary about it after seeing the reviews. However, it's a good, better than basic machine. Love the independent bobbin winder, the loading cartridge is a bit weird but works well enough and automatically threads the needle on insertion. I love having metric and imperial markings on the plate. And it's so quiet. It has made me realise that I need to get my main machine serviced! Only down sides I can think of at mo, no basting stitch and no automatic thread utter but I can live without those in this machine.

Lovely Machine

As an experienced machinist that has used industrial machines I love this one.Had a few teething problems to start with but gradually got used to the machine and experimented with all the stitches and the automatic buttonhole.Love it!Totally different from what I was used to but soon got the hang of it! I didn't realise for an awful long time that I could take the plastic piece off at the front to make sewing even easier!Havn't looked back since.I havn't needed service etc so haven't rated it

Dont Buy From Coopers

very light weight, sometimes to light as it moves when deling with lge bulky items. I still have 5 years to go on the guarentee, Coopers will not except machine back to repair as i do not have original box. I have also been told i need to pay £14 for the machine to be taken away. Staff on the phone not helpful and I felt that they were putting every obstical in my way not to except the machine back. The only party the guarentee protects is Coopers and not the customer. I do not have the space to keep the box so unless, as Coopers suggested, and buy another box from Coopers I am stuck with my faulty machine. I have learnt my lesson and will always buy from a shop where i can get some personal after sales service . They never tell you about the poor guarentee on the television channel.

I have 9yrs left on my guarantee machine was purchased from ideal world with 15yrs coopers guarantee when the machine developed a fault I phoned coopers to book it in they were not interested and told me to refer back to ideal world because they do not have a contract with ideal world anymore my item was also in it's original box phoned ideal world and got same response so the guarantee is not worth the paper it's written on total disgrace.

I can only agree - I have had nothing but trouble from COOPERS. I phoned them asking for advice about upgrading from one of their own machines (which keeps breaking down ) I got abuse and insults from THE OWNER !!

COOPERS ARE BAD NEWS ...

Dont Buy From Coopers

Regret buying machine. Over Priced and the after sales service from Coopers is not good. I still have 4 years to run on my guarentee and yet, because I do not have the original box it came in, Coopers will not take it away for repair, even if I did still have the box, it will cost me £14 to have it taken away! Some guarentee! The person on the phone was less than friendly and I felt that they could not wait to find something to enable them to refuse to take machine and sort the problem out. When the machine is being demonstated on the TV, they should also go into great length what you are not entitled to in relation to the guarentee. They have taken my money and now don't want to know!

Nice Machine

I bought my 8080 from create and craft so couldn't try before buying. However, on receipt of the machine found it easy to set up and use. It sews well and is quiet and doesn't need the foot pedal to control your sewing. love the self threading and thread cartridge-main reason for purchase!

saying this tho, I do find I have to stoop over it to sew unless I have it arm's length away which causes shoulder and back ache. (i'm 5'8). the other negative I have to say is that more feet in the box would be welcome.

price,i thought, reasonable for what it does. Also was sold with 15 yr guarantee but not through brother...think c+c were supplied by coopers-'nuff said !!

Don Not Buy Brother 8080

Bought this machine from coopers. It has never worked properly and continually jams. It has been returned several times but have always been very disapointed, Do not buy it is overpriced. Service from the company was terrible.

We Have Just Bought This M/c We Are In Our 80`s If

we have just bought this m/c we are in our 80`s if you cannot use it get help,my wife is an experienced machinist of many years, thinks it wonderful,we had teething problems, but using a bit of commonsence does wonders, its the old story of practice making perfect.

It also helps if you can use your head at the same time as using your fingers. I like this brother CS 8080.

we saw the m/c on computer and thought being light in weight, made it easier to carry from where it is kept, and to lift onto sewing surface,my daughter

has had her machine a much longer, and is quite pleased with it.

we have to be positive when trying new things bought on the internet,

Love This Machine - Light, Easy To Use And Really

Love this machine - light, easy to use and really good results. Having being used to manual threading it took a few attempts to get automatic threading to work but now all is great. If you have problems, check the thread is running freely. Love the computerised stitches, wish I had gone for even more embroidery stitches.

Q&A

patsi1234

Is this machine a low shank?

Sheiladunnn

My innovis 8080 needle threader broke I can't find any body to repair it.  I phoned brother to ask where I could get it repaired the gentleman on the phone told me you didn't make that model any more then put the phone down. I have a machine now that does not do the reason I purchased it for I have difficulty threading the needle. Help.

patsi1234

I bought my machine from createandcraft.

Dont know if that where you got yours.

Coopers repaired it sme prob needle threader

I paid postage but used courier and was only something like £7. I did not have original box.

My machine had 10 years gaurantee from Coopers.
