Not Very Good
This Lg machine is the worst machine we have ever had as it just wanders all over the place and is very noisy,I have put the spirit level on it on many occasions and adjusted the feet but it makes no difference, I most certainly would advise anyone to steer clear of this model

Was Very Happy Until..............
I was very happy with my machine. Very quite and washes really well.I had this machine delivered on 2nd May 2012 and up and running within 2 hours. Tried the steam refresh cycle and although it did what it says on the instructions, I didn't find it was the best cycle might as well have done a quick wash. Any way today my new 13 day old machine decided to pour water all over my floor. Stopped the cycle , just pressed the off button and within seconds managed to open the door( not so easy with other machines, need to reset and drain).Opened the door and to my horror the door seal has come away form the rim of the door opening. The large holding ring has obviously not been tightened up correctly. I have phoned LG as this is what the website say they prefer, not Debenhams that I purchased the washing machine from. Phoned them and spoke to someone who took my number and told me that a technician will phone me back as they had no one to take my call at that moment. 3 HRS LATER AND NO CALL BACK. Watch this space for an up date
Waited for 5 hours, still no call back from LG. Called them back and they took my details and told me that an engineer would call me back and make arrangements for repair. I went on to ask how long would it be for the repair and was told that it would aup to 48 hours for the engineer to phone me and he would then give me a time frame for repair. I told LG that this was not acceptable as the machine is only 14 days old. No real empathy from the call handler. No offer of faster assistance taking into consideration how long I had been in possession of the machine. He went on to inform me that I was within my rights to ask for the machine to be replaced as I was within the 28 day replacement contract. I said OK I will have it replaced. Yes you have guessed it they will not replace it I have to go back to the shop where I PURCHASED it. LG customer services just seemed as if they just wanted to pass the butt. Thank goodness for Debenhams customer services. They immediately offered to replace the machine but they would not have my particular machine for 4 days because it was out of stock at the warehouse and then it would take anther 24 hours to deliver. I said that I need a machine next day and I didn't think that I should have to wait longer than a maximum of 48 hours for a replacement. I was given the offer of an alternative machine. I was then put onto a sales person and he told me what was in stock and available for next day delivery. |I was offered a larger load machine 8kg and all the spec were the same but no steam function. I realized after using the machine that the steam function was not going to be a program that I would use, so I agreed to the alternative option. Next day delivery, and £72 cheaper that was returned to my account. Now that is what I call good customer service.

Excellent Washing Machine. I Have Never Spent So M
Excellent washing machine. I have never spent so much money on a machine before but soooo worth the money. The steam refresh is useful for reshreshing items such as coats, trousers in fact anything you want. The steam is also useful for deep down stained clothes. On some programes you can add this feature to enable stain removal.
YOu can also adjust the temperature and spin cycle.
Sometimes too many options on a machine dont get used but on this I have tried them all as so easy to decide if appropriate cycle, mainly by the name of cycle but also hints on display.
I would recommend this washing machine

I Nearly Didn't Buy The Lg 11kg Steam Direct Washi
I nearly didn't buy the LG 11kg steam direct washing machine due to a few bad reviews I read.
So glad I did as it is by far the best wasing machine I have owned, need to read the instruction to get maximum benefit.
Also got out stains out that I thought would never be shifted.

Dreadful Machine: I Will Never Ever Buy An Lg Prod
Dreadful machine: I will never ever buy an LG product again.
Bought as it supposedly had hot and cold fill and I have solar water heating.
No hot water used.
LG refuse dto accept this.
Machine blew up in spectacular firework display at 11 months old.
LG took 9 weeks and involvement of Trading Standards to get the parts to mend it under warranty.
Engineer agreed that hot fill didn't work but said that this was "normal" for this model.
Rinsing so bad that at least 2 extra rinses needed after every cycle.
Washing quite poor.
Cycle duration an utter joke (around 3 hours for a 60 degree wash, at least 45 minutes of which was "balancing" before each spin, but spins were still hopelessly out of balance.
Blew up with same firework display only a few months after the first repair so I scrapped the machine as LG customer service refused to log the call without an error code, and being as it was dead there was no code.
Bought a 23 year old reconditioned Hoover which uses about 1/3 of electricity, does have hot fill, and washes a 95 degree or 60 degree cycle in less than 1 hour.
My advice: don't touch LG with a barge-pole.
My LG Steam also blew up - smoke poured from it. It was 2 months out of warranty. It was a £650 machine and like you it has taken 3 months of trading standards and consumer direct assistance to finally get them to give my retailer an uplift number so I am able to replace it. 3 months - no washing machine - has been my idea of hell.
Boo to LG!

Lg 14440tds: I Have Two Major Issues With This Mac
LG 14440TDS: I have two major issues with this machine. It is sold as hot and cold fill. I want hot fill because I have solar water heating. But it does NOT hot fill. Initially, LG did not believe me but eventually an engineer called and discovered that is does hot fill... for 6 seconds; the rest is cold! Issue two, the detergent draw is not big enough to hold the powder for a large heavily soiled load where water is hard. So the powder flushes over into the fabric conditioner compartment and clothes get rinsed with soapy water. Otherwise it is an excellent machine. So, buy it if you don't use loose powder and don't want hot fill.
I am so glad that I am not he only one who was conned into believing that his machine used hot water and who found that LG refused to accept this.
I involved Trading Standards and Which? but by the time they sent someone to inspect it it had blown up for the 3rd time and as the service was so utterly diabolical the first twice it blew up I scrapped it and bought a 23 year old 2nd hand Hoover that really does use hot water.
Don't buy LG: the washing was awful, the rinsing atrocious and the customer service was so appalling that I can't find words (at least not polite ones) to describe it.
Q&A
LG Direct Drive 7Kg WM-14440TDS - has been giving trouble emptying the water at the end of the cycle for some time, despite cleaning out the filter often. Used to be able to change the program and it would then empty and spin. Now it won't empty and spin at all and the OE symbol is displayed. We have checked that nothing is blocked, we have run it without washing in but still have the same problem. Water in in the machine and we can find no way of emptying it other than spooning it out and then using the filter pipe and a roasting tray to get the remainder out.
Is it a component which needs replacing, if so, which one?
We bought our LG Steam WM14440 TDS just over 2 years ago. The machine is only used 2-3 times a week and now it gives off a terrible smell of stale water every time it is used. We have tried using a very hot wash as recommended in the book but it doesn't make any difference. Its like the pump isn't strong enough to pump all the water out, thus the stall smell when next used. Has anybody else come across this problem or has anybody any suggestions please?
