Samsung Ecobubble WF0804X8E

After a lengthy process of investigating what washing machine to buy I settled on a Samsung. My budget was £300 but after seeing the WF0804X8E for £429 at Petertyson including 5 years parts and labour warranty it was a bit of a no brainer.

I've only owned the washer for a week but am so far delighted with it. Feature wise, I can only say it is excellent, it's easy to use and has as many options that I could wish for. The display is easy to understand and view showing what options are selected and the time left. The buttons are clearly labelled and well spaced out, the my cycle function is particularly useful if you do mixed washes as you can customise the program and save it.

I was dismayed on my first wash however, I thought it had malfunctioned as it didn't appear to have spun, the machine was so quiet. My dismay turned to delight my clothes came out very clean and nearly dry, the spin appears to be no more intrusive than the wash cycle. Overall this is quieter than my partners Miele that cost twice as much. What's more amazing is that mine is on a wooden floor that's not very even. However I did spend ten minutes first to level it up before inserting under the worktop...worth doing as it's heavy and has no wheels to the rear. The vibration reduction technology works very well even loaded up with towels... impressive! Using half the amount of detergent I used before owning this machine it has made quite a difference to my clothes, synthetics especially coming out like new.

The build quality is very good, I think Samsung know that and have the confidence to offer a two year warranty extended to five on promotion at the moment.

The very large chrome door is a bit gaudy but it give fantastic access to the large drum. Parents beware the glass is not double glazed and on some washes could get pretty hot. The door also protrudes from the front of the machine which adds to its depth, you really need a clear wall behind this machine otherwise it will stick out from your worktop.

Overall I am very happy with my new machine, and at this price it's a steal! The service I got from Peter Tyson was first rate too, can recommend both.
