Samsung Ecobubble WF1124XAC Washing Machine

Though I've had the Samsung Ecobubble WF1124XAC machine for several years I felt it appropriate to review now in balance to the other poor one. My own experience is pretty good. It's large capacity and huge porthole mean it's easy to wash a double duvet. Having not to worry about the heating element becoming scaled up and needing replacing in my hard water area is rather nice. It doesn't vibrate or wobble unless doing a very large load but I've had that with other machines so not bothered. Results are good though programmes are generally speaking rather long. My only beef is the strange method of pre setting which will only accept the time you want it to finish, so if you are using off peak electricity and wish to wash overnight for instance, you need to do a calculation according to the cycle length. Very odd and subsequently I cant be bothered and only use it in the day.

I have had to call customer service a couple of times, just to query something I'd not experienced with other brands but my mind was put to rest and I was called back as promised by a knowledgable person. I would buy Samsung again though probably a different model, but this is perfectly adequate for my needs.

Machine costs on average over £700

Big attraction is the 12kg drum which is GOOD but at a whopping mark up over standard size machines

Machine vibrates on 1400 spin cycle making it impossible to store any items on top of machine(my old Bosch was able to store washing powder,conditioner bottle etc without vibrating off the top)

Machine constantly on certain wash programmes, emits long bursts of BUZZES such as 95C wash cycle

The timing cycles non run to times sometimes running over by 30-45 minutes! Useless if doing wash before going out to work!

Cheap flimsy instruction non clear booklet on grey recycled paper will last for less than a few months very poor

If you must have a 12kg drum ok go ahead but you may be cheaper buying 2 X 7kg drum machines!!

I wish I had such to BOSCH - sorry Samsung I am a fan your TVs great have a 50inch Plasma phones 2nd to none have a G Note 2 but this washing machine lets your good name down big time!
