Next Kitchens Deny Any Responsibility For Betta Living

Next Kitchens entered the kitchen market in 2013 by advertising on line and in store with Betta Living - selling 'Next Kitchens'. In 2016 Betta Living went into administration leaving all customers without warranty. Next reassured customers on line in 2017 that warranties would be honoured but have now reneged on that. If your Next kitchen was fitted by Betta Living you are on your own. Next deny any responsibility but it is worth contacting Next if you have a problem. Good luck.

Very Lucky Escape

Double glazing sales comes to mind happy with design but surveyor stated there was no way it Could be done lucky for us only one phone call to apologise as the main man was sunning himself on holiday in america and even though promised no further contact was made so cancelled finance and kitchen .after reading these reviews I am delighted so lucky was upset at first by the disgraceful attitude of better living company when I contacted them but couldn't be more pleased I still have no kitchen but couldnt be happier so its back to doing diy I had an issue few years back with a double glazin firm eventually went to my local mp who investigated into their business I won my case maybe anyone having problems should try this

Waste Of Money

Please please dont waste your money i cant believe that next have associated themselfs with betta living. Its a absolute shambles they rip you of dont stick to there word insult you i think that people should abandon next aswell for associating themselfs with betta living who dont give a dam about there customers. I bought a kitchen from them was told it has a 15 year gaurantee but when things go wrong nobody wants to know my glossy kitchen began peeling after a while contacted the company and a year later still waiting phoned them 153 times emailed them 28 times and still got nowhere. Please save your time and effort and your hard earnt money.

Do Not Buy A Next/beter Living Kitchen!!!

Problem from the surveyor visit getting fitting info totally wrong!

Months and months of delay, not all parts for the kitchen sent for installation. Staff telling me all different reasons for the delay none of which were true. Eventually uncovered they had "forgotten" to process the order. Incorrect process of order payments details and anything else you can think of. They were never returning promised calls. Highly stressful process especially when part of a larger build project.

Within 2 months of having our nice new kitchen the tap broke. Notified BL in Sept 2015 and it's now Jan 2016 and it's still not been fixed! I'm informed that today the instillation manager has requests for 10 taps to be replaced leading me to question the quality of there products!

The only positive was the wonderful fitter we had who did his best to resolve issues. The kitchen looks nice and the quality of the units is better then places like B&Q which after offers were only slightly cheeper. but it's not worth the haste, faults and stress! Would never use again or recommend.

Please avoid!!! Or be prepared to expected problems, delays and have a nightmare job at getting resolution.

High Pressure Sales Tactics

In our opinion, please avoid unless you want to experience high pressure sales with very little emphasis on the quality of the proposed kitchen design, nor an establishment of your own requirements.

The emphasis is very much on getting the sale achieved - our appointment was at 7pm and the design consultant(?) did not leave until midnight...... He then had to phone his boss to deliver the news that we did not wish to go ahead but that he would try to get us to sign at a later date....

On another point, Betta Living will insist that both/all decision makers are present at the appointment - this is to avoid the scenario of one person delaying the sale by saying that "I shall have to discuss this with my partner before we make a decision".

Awful!

We booked an appointment with next for them to quote for our kitchen. However we then got a phone call from beta living who apparently next sub contract to complete the work. The sales person from beta living arrived to quote for the work, I found him to be rude and basically doing the hard sale. Our kitchen is basically a little alcove 2m each side- tiny! The quote was 10,000!! We then said to him politely that we would think about it. He was then very rude demanding why we didn't want to sign the quote tonight. He basically would not leave us with any paperwork to look over or the catalogue from which we choose our applicanes! He then went on to tell us that if we didn't have the 10,000 we could put this on a credit card!!! He then remainded sitting at our kitchen table and I basically tidied up round him before he finally decided to leave!! Awful awful awful !!

Mid Way Through Process Of Kitchen Purchase

We went in to the new next showroom in shirley, solihull. the kitchen sales staff were great and we booked a meeting for our new kitchen in a new house we are moving in to.

We were visited by Mark who was very professional and sold the BettaLiving to us hook line and sinker! (sink!).We paid a £1300.00 deposit and Mark suggested we finance though we did have the cash we opted for this option, this where it then went wrong! They do not seem to have a process for people having a kitchen fitted in to a house they are moving into. Though we passed the finance on our existing address we could not provide evidence of ownership of the new house as it had not yet completed.

The problem with this was I only found this out by telephoning numerous times to track the process of our order. The annoying thing was we wanted to pay cash in the first place!

Any way eventually we resolved this by agreeing we would pay cash, which now meant they wanted a further £8600 to process the order, this was fine however they told me they could not give me an install date until 7 days after the £8k was paid, which I was a little worried about due to our timescale of needing the kitchen installed by week of 16th Feb (we signed order on 3rd of Jan)

Any way we paid a deposit7 days ago and I still have had no correspondence. i have spoke to regional managers who say they are confident they can do the date for fitting, though I am getting no confirmation.

As a Next customer I spend a lot of money with them and use them because of their excellent customer service.

Currently for me they are me down with the purchase of this kitchen and to be honest I am rather worried.

I need confirmation of the installation date of my kitchen as they whole move of my family is depending on this process and I am not getting the answers i both want and need.

Betta living do not currently seem ready for a contract such as this with NEXT

No Hard Sales

Was quite excited about getting a design/quote from Next but first impression gave Beta Living away!

They insist on both parties being present (so you don't have the 'I need to discuss with my partner' get out!)

I then had a chap who spent hours designing exactly the same kitchen as I already had for the grand total of £10k (including the 80% discount!) and all I had to do was agree to the super dupa price there and then having not seen a sample of what my new kitchen finish would look like?! Also felt as though my budget was right on the cheap side for them and didn't get any of my own ideas incorporated in the deal!!

I've gone else where and happy to spend a tiny bit more to get a totally new design that considers what I want from my kitchen .... And I know what it'll look like too!! No hard sales!!!

So Far So Good

We have just placed an order with betta kitchens and so far I have no complaints the young man who was our first contact with the firm was pleasant and very very helpful there was no pressure to buy and he recommended items that I would not have chosen and they worked as for time spent in the house you have to make allowances as it takes time to design a good kitchen the surveyor is due tomorrow and we have been told it will take 3hrs I will let you know how we get on
