Kitchen Doors Not Fit For Purpose All Will Crack In 2 Years
Having only had a kitchen fitted less than 2 years The Mackintosh Doors are not fit for purpose. Don’t buy these kitchens as they will not honour their guarantee and like previous reviews mention all Omega PLC will come back and say is after reviewing the Photos we can see that moisture may have caused the doors paint finish to crack so they will not replace them. We had one door replaced within a year but now Five doors have all gone the same and we are careful as the kitchen cost over £20000. First it’s a kitchen and previous painted door kitchen have never cracked. This is down to a manufacturer defect in the paint final application and Omega as a company should put their hands up and replace free of charge as they are supposed to be guaranteed for 15 years. You have all been warned. After the first year your kitchen will look old. The next step unfortunately will be to have the doors independently inspected and start proceedings for redress as you won’t honour your warranty and the damage has not been caused by water or moisture but a manufacturing defect.

Door Paint Problems
English Rose, an Omega plc brand kitchen fitted in March 2022. Since then continuing issues with Classic style MDF painted doors, the carcases are fine. Already had 2 replacement dishwasher doors, paint cracks also several doors and drawer fronts have had paint chipping.
Our supplier has been supportive but Omega won't acknowledge there is a problem with the product. They have sent a technician and apparently there's nothing wrong with the paint adherence. They insist that the problem is humidity in the kitchen, they measured the humidity-no idea if they did this when the window was open( it was a very wet day)- and said it was higher than recommended, on the basis of their one off reading our kitchen has a humidity problem . Unfortunately for them we have a hygrometer in the kitchen and several throughout or house as well as smart radiator valves which also monitor humidity.
I can't believe that they don't supply products that withstand humidity in kitchens.
My advice would be never buy a painted MDF kitchen and having read reviews many painted wood door kitchens are as bad.
Kitchens really are the hub of a home and really ought to be robust.
I'm a very disappointed owner of one of their kitchens.

Omega Kitchen Fitters
On Friday 30th June we had two fitters come to our property to refit our kitchen. We can't thank or praise them enough. The two guys were professional, friendly and hard working throughout their time with us.
We have waited a while for this, it was well worth waiting for.
Thank you guys.

Just Awful - Read This Before Buying
I only wish I’d looked at some reviews before getting my Omega kitchen as the quality and service that I have experienced from Omega is incredibly disappointing and this is why I have rated them only 1 star. I’m also surprised that some review websites have allowed a Retailer selling Omega PLC kitchens to boost the company rating by giving Omega a 5 star review. I am a genuine customer who is happy with the service I have received from the retailer I purchased from, but pretty shocked with the terrible lack of quality and support by Omega. So that everyone can see exactly the level of quality and service that I have experienced, I’ve included a bit more explanation.
Paintwork - As many others have said, the units came with some white scratches and they also scratch very easily, to try and work around this/ work with Omega, we asked for paint to help us to cover this, and we were sent paint pens but really, it’s not great when you are spending so much. I know that the retailer selling Omega says that this is something that Omega can’t avoid and that it happens with all units but this has absolutely not happened with our units by Symphony which we have put in our boot room and utility. Our Symphony units are exposed to rougher treatment due to their location, the Symphony units were significantly cheaper than the Omega units and they have not scratched at all, so I’m not sure why they’re so much better than Omega?
Missing items - one of our units came with a glass shelf missing. It should have had 3 but only came with 2. This wasn’t an issue, everyone makes mistakes, I just contacted them to request the missing glass shelf but the Omega rep tried to convince us that this was correct and it only came with 2 shelves. If we wanted another we would need to pay extra. I re-asked and was told this was just the way it was. To actually get the 3 shelves, I had to take photos of the inside of the unit (with 3 sets of drilled holes) and go onto the website to find photos of the unit to ‘prove’ that this was not right. Once I’d done this, we were then given the missing shelf but this was not until a lot of work on our part. It wasn’t great.
20 year guarantee not honoured - after having our kitchen fitted in November 21, by June 22 just 7 months later, one of the units had cracked and bubbled. I was comforted that this would be covered by the 20 year guarantee. This unit is not in an area that is near to moisture, in fact it’s very close to an electrical socket and as we have a granite surface, I only wipe the surface and don’t let this area sit in water. I also have a panel on the wall that is adjacent to this unit and this panel is still perfect (and it wouldn’t be if I was letting this area sit in water). Omega however have refused to honour this guarantee, they have said that this unit must have been sat in water and therefore the guarantee is void! I know 100% this is not the case but, they just said that their units are tested (and are perfect) so this is our fault and they wont replace it.
Not fit for purpose - as part of our kitchen we had a beautiful pantry cupboard installed. Its big, so there are 10 hinges installed (5 on each door) but just 16 months after installation, one of the hinges snapped inside and the door completely dropped, the hinges were just not fit for purpose and we have had to replace them with hinges from a different kitchen manufacturer.
Poor customer service / complete lack of accountability or responsibility- I completely understand that mistakes will be made and that there will sometimes be quality issues but the arrogant and dismissive way that Omega have dealt with us is the reason that I would never buy an Omega plc kitchen again. The reasoning I have given, along with the photo evidence, will hopefully convince others to not make the same mistake. The guarantees and quality assurances from Omega are, in my experience, absolutely not worth the paper it’s written on. My advice (from someone who bought the kitchen and not someone who is selling it) is to choose another brand.

Very Expensive Disappointment
Purchased a dream retirement flat at great expense ( over 1.5m)
The Omega kitchen was fitted and from the word go we were not satisfied with the finishing, it looked like quite allot was missing or damaged. We were assured of course that all would be rectified before we took up occupancy.
When we moved in it was in a sad state! Omega contract care proved useless in communicating with the developer so we took up the case ourselves to get a workable kitchen.
We were treated as an inconvenience by Omega and lived through 2m high doors actually falling on us as they had been secured by one screw!
The debate continued with Omega insisting that the kitchen had been fitted by them as specified, and to prove it they sent us a copy of the original specified plan.
Thank goodness for this as it showed clearly all the parts which had not been supplied and fitted as ordered.
This resulted in them supplying the parts they had “forgotten “ to supply in the first place after calling us deluded for suggesting that a kitchen of this supposed Quality could be so badly thought out.
So then we end up with a flat full of finishing parts and panels waiting for fitting.
Having waited 2 more months for a date they agreed to come on 4 January, after 6 months of living in a mess we were very excited, however by mid day and no one arriving we called to ask what had happened and were told they were not coming and could not give a date for attending.
Do not buy so much as a tea strainer from these people, the product is of questionable quality, doubtful lifespan and quality of fitting and Customer service at such a low level I cannot describe it.
If you are looking for a dream kitchen to finish your hard earned home, buy anything else than this product

Terrible Service And A Company Does Not Abide By Regulations
Horrible service/communication upon order and they refused to accept a return request against the distance sales regulations. We just had to purchase it from them to match the existing kitchen units given.
Do not waste your time, money and efforts!

Don't Waste Your Money
Very poor quality kitchen. Don't believe the hype in the brochure. As with other reviews the paint was chipping peeling and blistering before the kitchen was fully fitted. The hinges were unable to support the weight of the larger doors. Their guarantee is worthless since it is against manufacturing defects, and in our experience (as with other reviewers) they simply blame the users environment. Use of a kettle in our case....clearly if their were honest about their kitchens, they would state that they are not suitable for use in an environment where there is heat or moisture. The only time Omega were efficient in a response was to get my supplier (Sydenhams in Boscombe) to ring me. Sydenhams were also poor in their handling of the complaint.

Poor Product And Poor After Service
Bought an Omega kitchen from a local (Bridgwater Somerset)supplier (Aditus) expecting a quality product. Chose the local supplier over Magnet kitchens because we thought it better to support local community even though the price was £200 - 300 more expensive (small amount for £15k+ kitchen.
Installation workmanship was not good to start with - open, unsealed cuts to kick board etc. After just over 1 year the gloss finish to the kickboards started to bubble, Aditus finally agreed to replace (after Rodney was blatantly rude blaming washing of the floor or leaking appliances). After another year more blistering appeared. This time I went to another supplier to buy the parts myself (Glastonbury)and discovered that what I had bought was a mix of what I expected and cheaper stuff. Omega got involved and promised to replace the faulty parts (they still have not) and investigate the supplied kitchen and report back to me (they have not come back to me). Now, after 4 years the door panels are starting to blister & slit - this has never happened on any previous kitchen.
Kitchen looked good but will not last its intended 10 years + life so I would recommend looking at Magnet or Wicks or B&Q as people who I know with these kitchens have not had problems with them (yet!).
Omega - your product and service sucks!

Terrible Product
Terrible product. End panels split within 1 month of fitting and before I'd even started using the room. Omega blamed this on 'standing water' when washing the kitchen floor. There was never any 'standing water' on the kitchen floor. Excuses for a terrible product and a worthless guarantee. Do not buy.

White Panels Turning Grey And Cracking
Had kitchen put in a couple of years ago. Complained about the installer at the time. Panels fixed with sealant. The company did nothing. Now the white doors are going grey and cracking.
