Worst Experiance Of My Life With Wren!!.

WORST EXPERIANCE OF MY LIFE WITH WREN!!.

After ordering our dream kitchen having been promised the world by the sale team (who were great) & told in the show room our kitchen would be delivered on 11/11/24 or before we removed our old kitchen knocking our extension through with also booking all trades in preparation for the kitchen to be delivered/fitted.

we have now just over a week out had a phone call from wren kitchens to try schedule delivery days later.... after trying to change dates for our fitter to find out they're extremely busy & couldn't possibly move our dates with the next availability after Christmas, we have explained this to wren who are refusing to deliver it on the days promised LEAVING ME, MY PARTER 2YEAR OLD & 5 MONTH YEAR OLD without a kitchen for Christmas.

i have tried ringing the Carlisle branch which the manager had assured me only days early that he had spoken with the directors of wren who were going to make sure our kitchen would be there on the dates previously promised, he will neither take or return my calls now & trying to get a resolution from head office is none existent even after offering to collect the kitchen myself!!

only resolution been offered from wren is to give me contact numbers for other fitters which anyone knows you cant get a fitter that's worth there weight with less then a weeks notice!!!.

after asking wren to cancel my order completely if they couldn't get my delivery on time as promised i was chuckled at down the phone saying you've signed a contract you cant cancel it.

WOULD STRONGLY RECCOMEND PEOPLE TO AVOID WREN AT ALL COSTS! AS SOON AS THEY GET YOUR MONEY THE AFTERCARE IS NONE EXISITANT!!

Don't Use Wrens, There Is Cheaper And Better Places!

Do not go with wrens!! If I heard the complaints from the fitters before ordering my kitchen I would have not gone with them. From them over charging for their "own fitters", which they could not find when the kitchen was originally ment to be delivered, we then waited an extra month to find our own, then when we did get it delivered they only sent half our kitchen so the fitter we found couldn't start the next day, we were told they would send the rest out the same day.... And they didn't so 3 days without a kitchen we finally got the other half, only to find out that they haven't send any of the right attachments for the plumbing, they then said that they were correct (11 years making threads on nut n bolts, I can see that it doesn't!) the counter tops they measured up didn't fit in because they didn't take into account the shape of our kitchen (could have been solved by cutting the tops the same way the original ones were in) so we've had to remove tiles sockets and still left with a gap down the side in order for it to fit. So now a week without a working kitchen I'm dreading to find out what's going to go wrong next. I know this is a long winded review but take my advice go to anyone else, go to the junkie down the street who can get you a great deal because that will be less hassle than going to wrens

Do Yourself A Favour And Don’t Buy With Wren!

Whatever you do please, please, PLEASE do not buy with Wren! It’s been one thing after another and from my experience, I’d warn everyone to steer clear for your own sake! We had a number of issues with cupboards being incorrectly measured (and having to fight for a free replacement), damage cupboards, stained cupboards, missing items and I think the cherry on top of the cake, when Wren came out to install my Quartz tops they damaged one of my front facing decorative panels, didn’t tell us and sneakily tried to cover it up - it’s been such an awful, disheartening and disappointing experience. They rifled through boxes to try and find the repair kit, opened and (really badly) tried to fix the area and now it’s just… well, there’s nothing I can do about it to fix the bodge job they’ve done. You pay SO much more money to go with Wren for their “quality” but they end up being the ones to damage your kitchen! I know this probably doesn’t happen to most people (we were clearly one of the very unlucky ones) but they just clearly aren’t this high quality brand that they present themselves to be. So many of my contractors warned me about using them, one even saying “can’t you try and get your deposit back” and I just WISH I had listened. Quite frankly, it’s the deceitfulness that does it for me. It would have been a totally different story if they’d have just been honest and open about this issue/damage. My recommendation would be to please do your research and go with a different kitchen manufacturer/company instead!

Avoid At All Costs!!!

Purchased designed kitchen units at the cost of nearly £10000, got fitted in November 2022. After 10 months, the hinges on 4 doors came off. I emailed Wren, they said you can buy the double brackets with 4 screws to secure the hinges. We had to fix them by ourselves. Now nearly 18 months after, the doors started to bubble badly. I emailed Wren again, they said “this is due to excess moisture from normal cooking or cleaning products being left on the door for a long period that caused the rippling effects” My kitchen is 20 m2 and we clean by normal surface product with kitchen rolls??? When asked how can moisture sit on a door surface for long periods of time, they said they are not the one using the kitchen. Very rude and unhelpful customer services. Finally, they want me to pay £303.84 for 3 sets of door replacement and we have to fit them in ourselves. Please avoid at all costs!! The quality and customer services are a joke!

We had exactly the same 25 doors and panels were replaced after only 18 months and they left me with the cost of the replacement and getting rid of the old.

I will never use wren again ..... ever

Dreadful - Time Wasters And Untrue

Wren kitchens promise a lot but deliver little. Their after sales service is appalling, promising remedies to their dreadful installation but then not following through with them.

They hope that you give up - better to just not give them your money in the first place.

Five Years On And Still Having Problems

Five years on and still having issues with this farce of a company. WREN designed my kitchen with a ducted extractor which was fitted next to my boiler flue! Clear breach of building regulations but apparently its my fault for not reading their small print not there bodged design or lack of sign off.

Only came to light due to a new boiler fitting and being faced with the choice of no new boiler or seal up the extractor duct.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Will be taking these clowns to court.

The Worst Customer Service I Have Ever Had

Many things did not work and you are told to be pay for additional workman to write a report to prove lights they installed don’t work. The nce payment was taken it was an error after error. Broken things arrived and I was told to contact their suppliers. I would recommend anyone but Wren

Customer Service

I ordered cabinets for my kitchen and dining room from Wren. For the dining room I ordered display cabinets to put my dinnerware sent in and other collectibles. When they came it was frosted glass no displayable area. Call them they said tough we do not do clear glass in that style salesman never said a word. Their installers never called so I had to get my own, would not consider it a capital improvement cause I might never install them. A draw broke after 2 months they said they can not do the repair cause they didn’t install it even though it was a defective draw. Plans had 1 cabinet installed in dining room instead of kitchen. I ordered white cabinets they came with a gray trim was told that how they come. Salesman never said a thing about that. Be cautious.

They Don’t Care

Wren Kitchens I would like to say a big thank you to your delivery guys for dropping my replacement oven and pretended like nothing has happened. My kitchen fitter saw it and when he confronted them, they totally denied it. Thank you for leaving me with a damaged oven.

A lady I also need to say thank you to is at customer service. Your unwillingness to help customers when you are in the wrong is top notch. Thank you for trying your hardest to not give me a refund on the oven. When I reminded her they have breached the consumer act 2015, she immediately closed my case.

My advice for people who are looking to buy a wren kitchen is please go ahead and do it if you willing to fight with them over your rights. No point of going into the store where you purchased your kitchen as all they say is “there is nothing I can do, you will need to contact customer service”. All round 10 out of 10 for their unwillingness to help their customers. All they want is your money.

Q&A

Andrewmaxwell

Hi can I pay rest off my kitchen off on the phone or online thanks

Asg721

Just wondered if anyone else has the trouble as i do removing the protective film on wren doors? The kitchens are great but the protective film is a pain. Just comes off in small bits.

Coolboy12

What happened when you place your order for your kitchen at Wren?

Brewster5

My son has just purchased a kitchen from Wren, they sent a fitter to measure the space and design the layout. My son is fitting the kitchen himself but has discovered that the units won't fit. Wren are saying he signed a pre fit agreement and it's not their problem. If he paid the deposit by credit card would he be able to take up the problem with the credit card company?

Diana1411

My partner and I went into wrens just to have a look and ended up purchasing a 26k kitchen , paid 10% deposit and clarified we were paying tge rest on finance but they didn’t check if we were elegible which I found weird but didn’t think much of it , the final paper work is being done next Saturday and it’s when they set up finance , what happens if we don’t get accepted ? My partner and i have ripped the whole kitchen out ans waiting on installation , would we get out deposit back If something goes wrong ?

AdrianDu

Orry to tell you that. Agreement saying that 28 days before delivery you have right to cancel. I'm like 50 days before delivery and still wren is refusing to give deposit back. And they don't take responsibility when kitchen doesn't fit even when it's clearly thay fault. They state that in the contract no responsibility for measurement and design

JaneRamsey

I am planning on having a wren kitchen and have a quote of approx £12000. Does anyone know what percentage of that is units etc and what percentage is fitting?

Ripley123

On a quote of £9000 I was told £2500, but be prepared for extras as they only quote for in and out fitting, anything different is charged extra for and it can make a big difference

CharlotteRoche

I have paid £1300 deposit to Wren Kitchens and now circumstances have changed and we will not be in a position to go ahead

We hadn’t ordered and confirmed delivery date

Is it possible to get our deposit back?

karenjefferson

Wren want all the money upfront is this legal? I dont want to do that incase of any problems.

playablancapete

We were asked how we wanted to pay for our kitchen after all the planning was completed, we had the funds to pay it outright but we decided to take their interest free option over five years and pay the 10% deposit on a credit card. In doing this we had the protection for the full cost of the kitchen should anything go wrong and our money is gaining interest in the bank.

Pati05

Hi, if we already got project and paid deposit, we still can change mind and add something or delete? Or is to late?

susanaplatas

I believe you can make amendments until 30 days before the delivery, I truly recomend you adjust what you need. The designers were very gentle and patient with us. However we found something that when using became uncomfortable and even if simple, they did not want to sell the part individually, so we needed to change the whole unit and we could not afford it, so it will remain as it was delivered or you need to pay a lot more.

maddok

i paid deposit to wren £1300 for kitchen in oct 2019. what with building problems and covid i didnt get pre fit till august. said he didnt have time from wren to do plastering, flooring and lighting so fobbed me off been waiting for new fitter to come and wanted to have kitchen by xmas but so sick of wren i really dont want them anymore so can i get my deposit back? i havnt payed the blance or confirmed delivery yet

SJOz

Sorry I rushed off after starting to answer question.

We paid deposit about 18 m before we ordered and paid balance.

During unexpected delay I felt like you but found local tradesman and didn’t use Wren fitters. Although I have heard they are good.

We like other respondent did look around and found Wren good quality and bespoke. Up to date. Also the appliances deals are unbeatable!

Any problems after delivery just keep calm and they sort v quickly.
