Bigen Hair Colour

I buy hair dye that is amonia free and have never had an issue. I bought this product as I was in a hurry and the box clear states NO AMONIA- but I ended up in A&E the next day with a severe allergic reaction and now I have an awful rash, itchy, swollen neck, sore scalp and difficulty breathing. Clearly this product has amonia in it and the box is falsely labelled.

I have been using Bigen (original - made in Japan) for over 25 yrs. Bigen is the BEST for me. I have had PERFECT RESULTS EVERY TIME. Before I came across Bigen I had tried all the well known brands of hair colouring but all of them were quite harsh. Bigen (made in Japan) is VERY GENTLE. I am a vegetarian and quite sensitive to foods. I am very surprised to read the negative comments left by some people. The REAL CAUSE of their allergy must be their diet - meat, alcohol, coffee, chocolate, sugar etc., I know of several women who have had massive reactions to ginger, sugar, chocolates etc., Even a small amount of ginger or sugar caused a severe reaction - looking like dermatitis or hives. Some experience really bad itching spells from eating certain breakfast cereals. In all the 25 + yrs of using Bigen, (made in Japan) I have had NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.

I tried Bigen Easy n Natural - Darkest Brown, and loved it.

I just have one suggestion - The colourant should have been in a bottle instead of a sachet because then one can use the product more than once. In the present packaging, one is left with no choice but to empty all the colourant into the developer and throw away half the content. (My hair is thick and falls to the middle of my back, and still there was a lot of mixture left in the shaker.)

Other than that, it's a good product. Colours hair evenly; every grey and even the hard to reach places.

best hair product iv ever used,i have dark brown hair that has been damaged by bleaching, dyes,this is the only one that leaves it healthy,darker than i would like but puts the shine back into my hair,everyone loves it. new packaging now comes with gloves :-)))) will never use anything else again.|!

light chestnut is the best colour to go for if you dont want your hair nearly black,amazing, !

I wanna chk why Bigen hair dye doesnt comes with conditioner that others brands does comes with.. Is it ok for not using conditioner after hair dye (I dont have conditioner n it doesnt comes with it)?

i always use the bigen number 46,bit i would like a light color to go with my complexion, and i always like the copper color from texture & tones by clairol but it doesn't cover all the gray. Bigen always covers all gray its excellent for gray hair. they finally came out with colors so i brought the blonde and put it in my hair and my hair is a dark brown. no where near blonde or anything light. What happened bigen blonde?

Yes, Bigen Powder Haircolor is very inexpensive, easy to use and covers grey better than any other product. Please be warned that it can be very dangerous as well, regardless of how carefully you apply it, test it or wash it off. It is not a natural coloring agent as many people think, the active ingredients are 3 types of PPD, (a coal derived chemical dye that is used to make toner ink) and b/w photo developer. I used this product for ten years before I realized what was making me chronically ill. The symptoms were often delayed and cumulative. I almost lost my life because of this product. Please read up on PPD before using this product.

i have been using this product for over 4 years and cant believe how wonderful it is. i am 75 years of age and couldnt color my own hair any more as it was too difficult and long to lift my arms. i started using this product just to see how easy it was and it took only a few minutes to put it on and left for 20 minutes. the color is wonderful and covers all grey - no smell and showers and shampoos immediately.

only one thing in the past 3 months. i think they changed their formula as my scalp gets very itchy for 4 to 5 days after using. but the color still comes out beautifiul and lasts - does not get red like other products.

Bigen Hair Colour is very easy to use - just add water.* No mess & dripping, apply on dry hair and leave on for 20-30 mins and shampoo.* No smell*Very good value for money ( £2.99) and can be used atleast 4 separate occassions (to cover roots), therefore no wastage.

This product has no ammonia and uses no hydrogen peroxide so is very gentle on the hair. I use it to cover roots in that in between stage.

Bigen is now my favorite hair dye. I've started using it last year and love it.

It's cheaper, doesn't have that awesome hairdye smell, takes only 10-15 minutes (leave in a little bit longer if you want much darker hair), is very natural (just add water), and lasts a long time. Great stuff. I love it. And no mess either...
