Fudge Paintbox Raspberry Beret

I have used all sorts on my hair over the years, and am still seeking the holy grail of a properly permanent purple hair dye.

This is supposed to be semi-permanent, but out of all the ones I have tried this is the best by far.

The first time I used it I left it on for a couple of hours with my head wrapped in cling film (yes a little longer than it said on the packet!), and it turned my mid-brown/greying hair a stunning bright magenta with glowing highlights.

Had lots of people admire my hair and ask what I had put on it, and it faded evenly to a flattering colour rather than that horrid orangey colour that a lot of them do.

For a semi it is very long lasting, and because it contains no peroxide it will not trash your hair. The downside is that it is very messy indeed. It seems to contain a lot more pigment than most other dyes, and my bathmat has never recovered!

It is about a tenner but I get a couple of applications out of each bottle. It could easily be diluted with conditioner to use as a post-shampoo colour boost.
