Philips Satinelle Ice Premium

OK, i'm not going to lie...it DOES hurt! at least the first time...i recommend the fastest setting and get it over with quickly! The ice packs definatly help, but you need to learn to angle the epilator properly to use the leg one...i recomend using the underarm one for first few trys as u can't NOT touch the icy bit. Overal, the ice packs aren't AS great as i thought they would be- but definatly better than none!

The thing i love the most is the long lasting results- if you have very pale skin and dark hair like me it eliminates the horrible black pores where u can basicly see the hair lurking under your skin!

I would definaty recommend this epilator over others if you can get it a wee bit cheeper than the RRP (like i did)!

Philips Satinelle Ice Premium is easy to use and less painful. Infact...I think its less painful to use it on your underarms then to actually wax them!

Am very disappointed as it just died on me! Got it Oct 07....so its lasted me almost 2 years... but my mums braun has being going strong for 5 years! So I don't know whether its supposed to last longer than that...

I purchased this product in January just after I booked a sun holiday for March. I finally got the nerve to use it the day before we travelled - as it was either use it, go get waxed or shave for the week. I think the noise gets you the first time you use it as well as how fast the roller moves - but I'm thrilled with it. I have zero pain tolerance for waxing and think this was sooo much less painful and the ice pack does help. If you're like me and sensitive to waxing and cringe at the thought of it, get this product. I've used it since I returned and don't plan to shave ever again as I'm sure this will be less uncomfortable the more I use it. I only used it on my legs - but plan to use it for my bikini area and underarms with the special head that came with it for those areas. Have to say, I can't believe how good it was - it was uncomfortable, but in no way anywhere near as painful as waxing. Hope this is of some help to someone.

Having waxed for years, I was tired of waiting for the fuzz to grow back before waxing again. The Philips Satinelle Ice Premium works best on short stubble, as longer hairs come out more painfully - so trim first.

With the 'anti-pain' attachments, it's chunky to hold and gets annoying. I soon dispensed with the freezer pack, and ripped out that annoying little massage thingy on the back, so it was just the tweezers doing their job, and it works just fine; maybe I should have saved my money and bought the more basic model.

It takes about the same amount of time to use as an electric shaver, but obviously the results are MUCH longer lasting, and because you haven't got to wait until the the hair grows back, you can whip it out just as the stubble starts to catch your tights. I find a quick once-over once a week keeps things silky smooth.

The skin has to be held TIGHT as you go. Legs are no problem, and bikini line's OK because you have a spare hand to assist. Underarms though....never.....stick with hubby's razor.
