I Bought Revlon Colorstay Overtime Sheer Lip Color

I bought Revlon ColorStay Overtime Sheer Lip color after a long search for a lipstick to wear on my wedding day. I bought their 'Sheer Naked' shade, which actually comes out pretty pink once on.

It's very easy to apply, compared with Lipfinity by Max Factor, which I have tried before. As this is a sheer colour you can put on a fairly thin layer and it's done the job. It stays tacky until dry so you can't really close your mouth until then, otherwise you get a line on the inner rim of the mouth.

My personal choice with the gloss, was to apply it, wait a few seconds, and then blot. Basically this leaves the nice colour with a wonderfully sparkly effect (an effect which lasts the whole day incidentally). I couldn't be bothered with reapplying the gloss throughout the day, (or for my hair to get stuck to my lips) so this provided a wonderful alternative. I love sparkles, and this was enough sparkles for even me!

The feel of the lipstick was also very good. Naturally my lips started to feel dry towards the end of the day, but my lips always do if I don't apply lip balm (which I wouldn't do as this would remove the lipstick). On application, my lips felt light and moisturised and after about an hour, I'd forgotten I was wearing any and later on in the evening I could have done with a bit of lip balm, but nothing too bad.

As I mentioned, it was for my wedding, and as a result, it withstood eating, drinking, talking and kisses. Nothing was left on my champagne glass or my new husband! Only problem was taking it off. I had to put a lot of lip balm on to remove it, and when this failed, face wash didn't work either. I think I woke up the next day with some of it still on! Never mind!

I'm now off to buy a more Christmas-time shade for all the ensuing parties!

The Main Point Of This Product Is That It Lasts Fo

The main point of this product is that it lasts for eight hours. It is two sided, one with colour, and one with shimmering topcoat. While the colour does, in fact, last for hours, you have to reapply the topcoat frequently in order to keep the shimmering softness that makes it look its best. Also, it is very expensive. But overall, I recommend it for anyone looking for great colour without the trouble of reapplying! I personally like it in the shade "Sheer Petal" because it works well with darker skin tones. But there are many different shades, and definitely one for you!

Revlon Colorstay Overtime Sheer Lip Color Is Actul

Revlon ColorStay Overtime Sheer Lip color is actully not bad, and I have tried several. Being a dark-skinned Black female with yellow undertones it can be difficult to find a complimentary lip product. I liked the color, which was mocha something or other. I liked the sheerness of the product, since I don't like heavy makeup. With this product being sheer even when it does start to flake off a little at the end of the day it doesn't show as much as with the more opaque colorstay products. However Revlon should consider having more on the gloss side because even though the color is semipermanant the gloss will come off under normal circumstances and needs to be reapplied through out the day. Overall not bad.
