Panoxyl Aquagel 10

I have suffered from mild acne across my cheeks for about 2 years now, it has been a bit up and down with regards to its severity but has bugged me all the same. I have previously tried clean and clear and clearasil treatments to no avail and read up on panoxyl online after reading about the benefits of benzoyl peroxide(BP) for acne sufferers.

I bought a 40g tube of Panoxyl Aquagel 10 which is the highest concentration purely because a lot of reviews I had read stated that you should only start with the 2.5% concentration gel if you have extrememly sensitive skin which I dont have. I also bought the Panoxyl 10 wash to use in conjunction with the gel. I started using the products yesterday and firsy washed my face with the facewash in the morning after i had showered so that my skin was fully cleansed. Make sure you dont get it anywhere near your eyes, nostrils or neck as it warns that these areas can become very irritated after exposure to the BP. I did find that the wash made my face feel slightly tighter than normal but i had expected this from reading earlier reviews. Using an oil free moisturiser about 10-15 minutes after the wash will help to rehydrate your skin whilst still allowing the BP to work its magic.

I then used the Panoxyl Aquagel 10 that night once I had removed all makeup. Just a tiny pea sized amount did the jjob on each cheek and as long as you gently rub it in to the affected area enough, it should absorb without leaving any flakiness or white marks. Do be careful when using the gel as it can bleach pillowcases and clothing and dont forget to wash your hands throoughly after contact with BP as it can make your skin dry out.

So this morning when I have woken up after one days use of Panoxyl Aquagel 10 and Panoxyl Wash 10 my acne has miraculously decreased. The redness is reduced, the pimple size has just shrunk so much and I have no new spots anywhere on my face. Before this treatment I was very aware that even with a full face of make up on it was still obvious that i suffered from acne due to a lot of rasised pimples and redness stil showing through but now with my make up on I look like i have completly clear skin. My pore size seems to have shrunk also which is something i was also quite self concious about.

The only real drawbacks with this product so far is thgat my skin did feel very dry and tight before I applied an oil free moisturizer but this is a small price to pay for a much better complexion with no acne :)

I think I paid roughly £8 for a 40g tube of Panoxyl Aquagel and a 150ml bottle of the Panoxyl 10 wash. I think this is a very fair price for a clear face :) I would definitely reccomend this product
