Rohan Kailash Fleece Jacket

The one my wife bought for me was my first experience of Rohan clothing. It seemed comfortable, practicable, and warm, if somewhat pricey - but after just one wash I found I had to take it off over my head. The stitching at the side of most of the buttonholes was detached so that I found I had put the the buttons through between the stitching and the material and couldn't get the buttons out!

Saintly wife restitched them all properly. I rang Rohan about it (of course I'm not their customer) and sent them a photo.

They offered a £10 gift voucher, their words clearly implying that they felt they didn't need to take it back because it had now been repaired.

Presumably they reckon she has accepted the goods by carrying out the repairs, and legally they are probably right.

But as I see it this means Rohan are happy to sell shirts with defective stitching and let their customers fix them. They also think its better to find new customers than to have happy ones. Have they missed something, I wonder.

The style of the fleece and the fit was just what we were looking for - but the quality was shocking. After less than a week of wear the fabric was pilling on the outside. They have now reduced the item. They said it was high quality fleece, but it is not fit for purpose. It did seem very warm. Rohan are one of the few companies these days who don't allow you to rate their products - wonder why.It is called Kailash, even at the reduced price of £60 it is not worth it.
