Childrens Fitting Is Pointless In My Opinion

Have no problems with clarks kids shoes, good value and hard wearing. However yet again today I had my daughters feet measured, they came out at a 4.5. I knew yet again this was not right, but let the lady bring out the shoes anyway. Massive, I mean really big. Told her it's a 4 we need, so she reluctantly let her try a pair of 4's. Bit better but she still had to add in an insole to keep them on her feet!

I appreciate 'room to grow theory', however from a safety point of view I much prefer the option of her not falling and twisting her ankle than trying to make the larger shoe last a tad longer!

My eldest daughter who is now 20 always had clarks growing up and I used to always go with what they told me and usually ended up taking them back. I can remember her little boots literally used to fall off .Her school teacher once commented 'she looks like she's walking on the moon' she was actually trying to keep her shoes from falling off bless her.

So if you think the sizing is not right, you really need to speak up, you shouldn't always take them literally. If in doubt don't do it. Or if you have done already bought some and are concerned, take them back.

Shoes

Bought a pair of Clarks shoes for Granddaugter for school. They have only lasted 2 1/2 months! The buckle has broken off! The reason for buying Clarks is for wide fittings and the fact that I thought they were supposed to be the best. You don't expect a pair of shoes that you pay £40 for to fall apart after such a short time!

Considering Young Children Grow Out Of Their Shoes

Considering young children grow out of their shoes so quickly, Clarks shoes are ridicilously expensive. I stupidly paid £28 for a pair of pink girl's shoes, size 5, for my newly walking toddler. She wore them three times before I found she needed the next size. And funnily enough the shoes looked really worn. Clarks do have some good sales though and the best thing is to buy shoes ahead! Their customer service is also very good. The staff seem knowledgable and dedicated and can talk to children to make them interested. I don't think the shoe ranges are very wide though. They could improve on this. As another point, they are very good to take shoes back which are faulty.

I Recently Visited The Clarks Shop In Worthing To

I recently visited the Clarks shop in Worthing to buy a pair of shoes for my 15 month old granddaughter. We chose a pair of boots which she immediately wore. They were marked down from 42 to 25 pounds. However, when we got to the till we were told that there had been a mistake and the shoes were actually 42pounds. As my grand daughter was actually wearing the shoes I reluctantly paid the extra seventeen pounds. I was very upset at the attitude of the staff who seemed to think that it was quite normal to change the price at the till. Never again.

I'd Give Clarkes A 3 For Comfort But The Styles Of

i'd give clarkes a 3 for comfort but the styles of the shoes and fittings like 1/2 sizes have greatly diminished it is now mainly stiletoes or flats what happened to good old fashioned strong thick heeled shoes!

I Like The Way That Some Shoes Look Quite Nice But

I like the way that SOME shoes look quite nice but, most of the shoes are either really ugly. Their school shoes are completely horrible and unsutible. I was looking up girls school shoes on the Clarks Shoes website and all I could see was ugly shoes, high heels and boots! Clarks used to be such a great place to shop but now it has really let itself go!

I Just Got Some Clarks Daisy Pets Shoes For My Dau

I just got some clarks daisy pets shoes for my daughter. she is really satisfied with them. They are normal black school shoes but have pretty black jewls on them. The insole lifts up and inside the heel there is a little doll and a dog. On the bottom of the shoe there is a clear plastic window which lets you see whats inside. my daughter shows them off at school. They are great shoes! the only problem is the bump that forms when she lifts up the heel after a few times to get to the girl and dog

Clarks Shoes - My Daughter Has Only Been In Recept

Clarks Shoes - My daughter has only been in reception for less than 2 weeks and the back of the sole of her shoes are badly frayed with great chunks missing! All she has done in run around like a normal child. I took them back to the shop but they only had one pair in her size - black patent, not really suitable for school! I was offered vouchers in exchange but can't send my daughter to school without shoes so will have to wait till the weekend to phone lots more branches to see what's in stock!
