A Total Sham And Avoid At All Cists

I enrolled with Open College in a course which was not what I wanted, however clever sales staff make it sound very interesting and you get bamboozled. My course began at the end of November 2022. Within a 2 weeks I could tell that it was not what I wanted to do, however I thought of giving it a go any way.

From the onset there was no support, the college was transitioning their software, which meant no support, after that they were closed for 2 weeks for Christmas again no support.

At this stage I had enough and wanted to terminate my studies, however there was no support once again. I wrote countless emails, tried calling them, and got nothing.

In the mean time every week they were taking money from me, even though I stopped studying.

I stopped payment however, after no contact from them since April, they are now bullying me to pay FOR THE WHOLE COURSE even though I only did less than a month.

They are only after money and I would never never recommend them to anyone.

Zero Stars: Stay Away At All Costs!

This course is not recommended for enrolment under any circumstances. If it were possible to provide zero stars, I would have. Open Colleges is a SHAM that lacks essential support services and provides inadequate and erroneous study materials. Requests for assistance go unanswered, and assignments take several months to grade, as evidenced by my assessments sent on 8 Feb 2023 that are still ungraded. The course content consists of poorly constructed sentences interspersed with outdated links to third-party blogs and YouTube videos. In addition, I have repeatedly received inaccurate information from the training and support team and have gone several months without a response to my concerns. Furthermore, the mid-course upgrade to the training platform has resulted in a complete downgrade. Do yourself a favour and enrol anywhere other than OpenColleges.

Don’t Ever Enrol With Open Colleges You Not Gonna ,you Will

Since I’m still in the same situation nothing has changed.don’t ever enrol with open colleges you not gonna ,you will lose your time ,energy and money for nothing

I have called Open Colleges over 20times by email and phone call ,there are canceling all appointments scheduled all at least all my online courses are closed without possibility to reopened without educator assessment . Educator not professional,This institution just wants your money .NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY MANY BAD REVIEWS ABOUT THEM , it should be shared with a lot of people to avoid falling into the trap. SO I WILL MAKE VIDEOS ABOUT THEM

Almost 11months that I am with open college and too much delay, too much injustice, in the process motivation of the students, have completed the modules and still waiting teachers to review my modules to let me completed the work placement ,there is not following close with student ,they do everything to put the students very very low, very unfair. despite the calls, etc...conversation it gets worse and worse.

Majority of the links on the course pages no longer even exist and teachers don’t care about it ,even you try to explain that the link are not working anymore.

Teachers putting not satisfactory every second paragraph even I try my best . They booked me appointment for teacher training finally canceled it without raison and confirmation, they are not care about students

Customer service are speaking not really correctly and are not understanding

what is sure I will talk about open college a lot so that ,avoids people to fall in the trap.

I’m still waiting for how long ????

You cannot do your job properly as a training center ?

If You Have A Disability, Stay Far Away From Open Colleges.

They will tell you whatever they think they want you to hear to get you to enroll, but when it comes time to actually support you, they will drop you like a hot potato.

I was denied special consideration for my disability, even though their representative promised me that it was a sure thing. Don't waste your time and money on this sham of a college.

In terms of the coursework, for the Diploma of Graphic Design course, they changed the learning material a few months before my course was due to conclude. Also, they seem to think it's ok to charge $10k+ for me to watch videos that they've embedded from ADOBE and YOUTUBE and to read BLOGS instead of actually receiving an ACTUAL EDUCATION.

THESE PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE AND ARE ONLY AFTER YOUR MONEY DO NOT TRUST THEM.

Don't Do It! Go To Another Provider Like Tafe!

Cert III Fitness.

Initially they were great, they answered emails and had great customer service.

After working through the book I noticed that assessments were up to 40 pages in length and the questions were convoluted and non-sensical. When working 12 hour shifts for six days I required quite a few extensions and yes I did receive them at a cost but once I got to the last four paragraphs of my final assessment I was failed for the course last week. Having said that I did miss the government cut off point, so it's partly my fault.

The practical experience has a 30 page assessment of scenarios that no gym would ever or rarely experience (according to several workplaces I researched) and from assessing the workload it is actually more than a Cert III and IV combined and you're only receiving a Cert III.

My Prac wasn't even assessed by Open Colleges as the assessor failed to contact the gym and hence I received no RPL and no feedback at all as they won't contact me. $2300 down the toilet :-( I hadn't cried in a while, but this made the tears flow!

Don't enrol, go through a provider where you can do the workload in a class.

Poor Materials And Support

Prior to enrollment the staff at Open Colleges were very helpful and I made me feel comfortable with their competence. This quickly changed upon starting to study though.

The material is outdated and full of errors which have been highlighted for months by previous students in the comments section but are not updated.

There is ambiguity in how to proceed with some exams and some files do not work with system updates being blamed but they have not put this on te website you just have to go back and forth with student support for a couple of days before finding this out.

Response times with tutors are slow and the suggested answer is unclear.

Value For Money

Tacky

very tacky, noticed alot of students were left in the dark. Assessment was not clear to understand. I guess you get what you pay for. I did uni for 3 weeks but wanted to do a course that wasn't going to take me as long, and uni was more professional and clear to understand and teachers were very involved.

Awful. Do Not. Even.

Such a waste of money, terrible system constantly crashing, support is bloody awful, their staff turnover is so high that you send a message to one trainer asking for help and when you go back to follow up on the message that was never replied to you can see there's already somebody else you need to speak to, and they don't bother responding anyway. Infuriating.

Course materials are changed constantly, assessment process is difficult and unnecessarily time-consuming, materials provided are barely relevant - internet is what you actually learn from.

If you want to learn something then research for free online - it amounts to the same thing.

Be Warned , A Waste Of Money

I have been trying for over 3 months to get out of the course due to medical reasons . I have been around the world and back , spent countless hours holding on the phone only to be transferred . I was told Monday the course had been approved for cancellation , after two DR certificates one from my oncologist which was not explanitry enough. But the payment was still removed from my bank . After 20 mins on the phone today I was told I would receive a small refund including today's payment ,they will e mail me with details. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Wish I had of researched much more. I have just lost over $1000 and have absolutely nothing to show for it !!!!
