Felt Ripped Off

There's no doubt the diet works but I feel so conned when I joined rosemary Conley online I understood the offer of £9.99 as a debit card payment was a 1 off fee as debit card payments usually are I did not set up a direct debit so therefore thought that was it it was only 3 months later when I checked my bank statements I realised a £12.99 monthly fee had been taken. I have only known this before if a direct debit has been set up. I was so annoyed I rang up to query only to be told it's in the terms and conditions beware I think this is sneaky and must have caught out many others

Lacklustre Exercise, Indifferent Instructor

I joined the Bexley class last yea with a friend, having piled on many, many stones and desperately needing to lose weight.

We had a quick run through of the information and were told to go and watch the video. All ok to start off with. The diet itself was initially really hard following a couple of years of undisciplined eating but it does really make you think about portion sizes. After I while I found I was enjoying it and began to lose weight slowly but surely.

There were several problems with the class I attended. The exercise is very basic and extremely repetitive. The teacher followed the same routine for months on end with no variation. It was ok at the beginning when I was very unfit but pretty soon I needed something more challenging. I began to feel that it wasn't worth putting my trainers on for. The classes also started very late every single time as there was a lot of faffing about setting up the scales etc (surely something you do every week shouldn't take so long...?). If there was a motivational/informational talk I must have blinked and missed it.

The real problem, i felt, was that really the instructor couldn't have cared less if we turned up each week or not. I felt as though I was just another £6.70 walking through the door each week. My friend and I both felt that the money could have been put to better use and we stopped going a couple of months ago. Unsurprisingly, nobody has contacted us to enquire if we would care to back or for feedback about why we left.

Not Happy

It seems to me too at classes they are just interested in your money. I went to a class quite a few times, the leader was not helpful when I asked questions about why I had not lost any weight, she just mumbled keep with it, there was a queue and she wanted to hurry and get the next person weighed.

The talk lasted about 2 minutes before getting on with the class. My friend goes to Weight Watchers and said their talk is really motivational and you are asked individually how your week was.

I will not be going back

Easy Diet, Poor Customer Service Left Me Feeling Exploited

Having successfully lost 6 stone with this diet, yes the diet is easy to follow, but really success is due to an individuals motivation to lose weight and the support offered by the instructor. My instructors have been great however this hasn't been typical of others within the company. Higher up in Rosemary Conley they are not overly bothered how much you lose, you are just another number and they have got complacent in their role. My overall experience is that the company exploits individuals for their own success. I was invited for a makeover which having been so excited about turned into a dreadfully disappointing experience, I wasn't made to feel special the day lacked atmosphere and that magical feeling which left me actually feeling extremely upset having sat around most of the day with little interest shown from the Rosemary Conley team. I was left feeling just like another item on the conveyor belt.

When I gave my feedback afterwards they really did not want to know and despite my insistence I still to this day believe customer service doesn't rate high on their agenda. Everything went from bad to worse even after I gave them the benefit of the doubt after Rosemary Conley herself contacted me to apologise but shockingly the poor customer service continued. For such a big company you would think they would make an effort to respond appropriately to negative feedback and improve their service provision. Certainly not a company I would recommend to others.

The Most Weight I Have Ever Lost And Still Losing!

I joined Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness club in January 2012 with 4 and a half stone to lose. It's now early April and I have already lost 2 stone and am still losing. This has to be the best and most successful diet I have ever been on. I don't feel deprived, I look and feel so much better and have had to throw away all my old clothes and buy new ones - as well as dig out stuff I had thought I would never get into again. The diet is sensible - no gimmicks, just good sense with loads of choice. The diet encourages you to think about fat and calorie content and re-educates your way of thinking about food in a transparent way. Eating out is a doddle thanks to the calorie and fat guide. The classes are friendly and helpful - just ask the leader if you are unsure of anything, even by email. I go to the ones run by Alex Duffy in Burgess Hill and surrounding areas - she is a wonderful role model as she is friendly, approachable, warm and human!!

Like any diet, there is no magic fix, you have to want to do it, and the exercise classes really help with motivation. My husband has been eating what I have and has also lost a stone and a half. I would recommend this to anyone, even if you have tried before. There aren't many I haven't tried but this is the only one that has really worked.

I agree, Madi. It is also about finding the one that is right for you. We are all individual and not everything is as easy for one person as the other. Maybe for some people, the right diet and being with others is a good investment. Weight is also about a number of psychological influences and reasons, not merely pulling your socks up :-) ,

Madi

There are many other diets to follw that work, the only problem most people have is motivation and consistency therefore its not about the ROSEMARY cONLEY PROGRAMME that works its the individuals method. To encourage others to be in place to spend their money is not right when you can do it for free y sticking to healthy free diet plans and daily exercises.

Untruthful Service

I have lost my money to a company that is getting away without a conscious, it's like daylight robbery in pure disguise, I feel coned and very upset. Rosemary Conley is as her namesake, a con star. I bought the facial flex and could not use it as it was uncomfortable and too big for my mouth. When I called for the return number, I was rudely informed, "How can you return something that you put in your mouth?" Well, why sell something without informing people that, it is ours for good, it is UNRETURNABLE..... REGARDLESS OF SIZE, PAIN OR LOW VALUE FOR MONEY, shame on this company, taking advantage of people's hard earned money, rip offs.then you say it is illegal to write falsely but what do you say to selling falsely?

Disgusting Service

My daughter and I joined for the 5 week offer @ £29.00 with free equipment (measuring cups and books etc). We got weighed, waited 5 or 10 minutes for the Zumba class to start (no dietary advice what-so-ever) was not very impressed with class, waited behind and were given our measuring cups and a copy of an old magazine each as she had no books etc. was very disappointed that we would not get off to a good start, however followed the diet as best I could in the circumstances and the 2nd week I had only lost a pound and was disgusted after a lot of effort and going without, there was still no dietary advice and still no books. To cut a long story short I asked every week for the books but we never received them so I asked where they were coming from Timbucktoo but I was just fobbed off with as soon as they come in you will have a copy. Well I don't think that it is good enough 5 weeks we attended no books, 3lbs weight loss in total and no dietary advice apart from 1 week she managed to say it is 14 weeks until Christmas if you lose a lb a week you will lose a stone for Christmas (any one can work that one out). We are both thoroughly disappointed and feel that we have wasted our time and money and I'm sure Trading Standards would like to hear about this as I feel this was false representation. Also she lacked enthusiasm and was not a very good role model. I have now joined Weightwatchers and got my books straight away and my daughter goes elsewhere for a much better Zumba class and a lot cheaper.

I Joined The Rosemary Conley Slimming Club In Sali

I joined the Rosemary Conley Slimming Club in Salisbury, in September 2010. I went online to find my local classes, picked the one to suit me and then e mailed the lady who ran this class. The classes are friendly, easy to find, and the leader of my Monday

am class is Sam.I have been given

lots of help and support over the weeks,I have never missed a weigh in and find the diet suits me,low fat, portion controlled, easy to buy and cook and the all important exercise session and motivational chats are all excellent too. I have lost over 3 stone since joining the class,my daughter has joined her local class in Southampton, which is ran by Suzanne, the mother of Sam and has lost well over 2 stone too! there are no hidden expenses at these meetings, the diet is easy to follow and you dont have to buy certain food products,ie with Weightwatchers you buy alot of their foods, etc and it all adds up !! I would definately recommend these classes to a friend, and sing the praises of Rosemary Conley far and wide!!I am a much happier, slimmer, fitter and confident me since joining them, its helped me start doing a job that I love and I will be going to these classes even when I reach my goal weight, for the exercise part,to keep myself on the right path :))
