Contacts Keep Ripping

I have the pro clear tonic Cooper vision contacts and the 4 lenses I have tried have all ripped. One ripped in 3 places and my eye is now swollen and red. I have never had contacts rip on me. I thought it was me not being gentle enough but 4 out of the 4 have all ripped… that’s not me, that’s the contact!

Terrible - Tear So Easily

These are the worst contacts. Tear so easily, left with parts of lens stuck in eyes. Tried 4 from a total of 6 - all were torn. Threw out the remaining 2. My eyes are a mess. Never again. Back to Acuvue - more expensive but have never given me the problems I had with Proclear.

These Lenses Can Tear Unless

I tried the lenses and really liked them for comfort and clarity. I used to wear lenses some years ago and had stopped. These new lenses are much nicer.

While trialling them I tore a couple including one leaving a small piece on my eye. Having worn lenses for 8 years I felt once was possibly bad luck but three times was an issue

Reading the advice to remove the bit of the lens I realised the trick for safe, reliable and repeatable removal.

Simply drop a small amount of the lens solution in each eye and blink. The lens is now soft and comes out easily everytime

Hope this helps someone

They Tear Very Very Easily. Not Worth Buying As You Pay More

they tear very very easily. Not worth buying as you pay more eventually. they are comfortable but not worth the hassle

Terrible Contacts

I finally found perfect contacts for my vision needa at age 45. Farsighted + powera, astigmatism -2.25 cylinder and bifocals +2 N and D. This is after having RK 20 years ago.

Proclear multifocals torics are the worst contacts I ever had to deal with. I just paid $641 for 1 year of contacts which rip within one day and caused a corneal abrasion in my right eye when one tore up directly on my eye.

Problem is that these are the only contacts accomodating all my vision needs. Bummer. I hope I can return my remaining boxes to ther online retailer

Tearing

I've worn for years. Problems in 2010 and now 2013 with tearing within a few days or weeks. Last lens tore in my eye. Scary.

Ripping Within Days Of Wearing

I used to be able to order one box of torics for six months. But the material they are using rips very easily. So I now order two boxes. Try a different manufacturer if you want torics.

Coopervision Proclear Toric Defective

I have worn contacts since I was in 4th grade and never had a problem with any of them tearing. I noticed that since November of 2012 my CooperVision Proclear Toric contacts have been tearing after only one day, the worst part is that they tore inside my eye and I am afraid it has caused some damage.

My daughter was given samples of Proclear Toric by CooperVision. The right one was ripped as soon as she took it out of the package so they ordered her some new ones, the left one ripped last night, while she was wearing it, which was great discomfort. I have told her to stop wearing them, it is not worth risk. Something definitely wrong with CooperVision after all the reviews I've been reading on the internet.

Horrible

I was given these as a trial pair while waiting for my

Hydrasoft EW lenses and these are the worst contacts Ive EVER worn in the 17yrs Ive been wearing lenses. They are extemely dry and the Rx is not accurate. I am severly nearsighted and I was suprised that this contact company even had a trial pair in my Rx (-15 and -14.5). I was excited that they were Monthlys and cheap instead of spending $150 for one pair but now I understand why. They are worse than my old pair that the Dr told me to get rid of!

Stay Away

They tear after only a day or two. I have worn lenses for years. I am also an RN and know how to gently insert an infant's IV line. I can be careful and gentle. Even so.. they tear when removing from the eye. Sometimes they tear right IN the eye !!!
