Waste Of Nhs And Social Care Money
I dread to think how many thousands of pounds this company costs the NHS in wasted, uncollected equipment, unhonoured appointments time and staff wages spent simply answering repeated calls from upset and frustrated customers wanting support.
I urge everyone to bring this company to the attention of their local MP so that Medequip can be made accountable for their NHS contract and monies lost.
I have lost count of the amount of equipment this company has just left in our care home. We have had appointment after appointment missed, even their own staff state that this company does not know what it is doing.

Advertise as covering cumbria. We applued for the mother in law, got the equipment sent to us and we signed up - only to be told you'll have to install yourself as we dont cover that part of cumbria ! We tried to set it but it didnt work, after unhelpful phone we said we would return it. We were sent a returns label - but nit told had to be used on acertain day, so when we took to post office wasnt able to use it and had to 4.45 to post back all the being charged while we had the unit by the day - even though it didnt work ! Would not recommend this company if you are looking for safety for a loved one. Most unhelpful staff. Promise to phone you back but dont. Trading standards should be made aware of false advertising !

This is the third time Medequip have come out to my vulnerable Aunty. On each occasion I asked for no-one to enter the property until I arrived and asked them to call me at least 30 minutes before they arrive at the property, as it takes that long for me to travel there. On each occasion they did not phone, entered the property without authorisation and without communicating their security code that had been text to me. My Aunty has been left traumatised by unknown people entering her house, let alone carrying out work without her knowing who they are and what they are doing. This company must deal with vulnerable people every day and it is totally unacceptable they should be allowed to continue in this manor with no safety for the customer in mind.

After a bereavement, returning equipment was awful, appointments not kept after taking time off work, all calls just hung up and managers in constant meetings.
In the end left all the stuff for the scrap man

Extremely Rude Office Staff.
I had a call from Medequip to tell me they were coming to do a check on 2 items of equipment. I explained that the items had already been checked recently and passed with the appropriate tickets on them.
Did not want to know, just kept quoting their script several times , including mentioning the law and we could go to court.
I felt I was being spoken to as someone who was stupid. They need to act more professionly. The care firm who
checks their work always sets a time of arrival and rings if the technician is going to be late.

Not accommodating, rude, obnoxious. It's all about what they want to do and when, and don't you dare go question it. You'll be treated like a monster
Unaccomodating
They only give you a few minutes notice of when they arrive. There is no accommodating for time slots. What do you do if you can't be there. Staff are unhelpful and will only take recommendations from medical staff. They go buy route only?? Really??? They should not have the contract!!!!
