Not Lasting Long Enough.

I have bought five of the "kits" that is the battery part, and the tip, in a week, and although I fully charge the battery before I use it, I find the battery runs down within an hour or so, and the tip, which is supposed to be the equivalent of 40 cigs, usually lasts about five or six hours. I don't puff that much! Not happy with the recent quality of the product, the battery part used to stay usable for weeks, now it seems I have to replace it twice or thrice every week.

Great Product

I started using e-lights about three weeks ago and i have to say with my hand on my heart i only wish i had started sooner. i bought a wall plug and three batteries and four packets of menthol e tips . OK the the wall charger and three batteries might of been expensive but at least i have them now. I have to say my flat does not smell of disgusting cigarette smoke anymore and i now have more money in the bank as i was spending £9.00 a day on a packet of cigs. £270.00 a month. - madness. i got an email from e -lights telling me of a special offer they were doing £30% off for the month of February i looked into this and bought 8 boxes containing five tips in each box total 40 tips at the price £91.49 which is a bargain . By using e- lights i will be saving £178.51 this month and also sleeping a lot better and feeling more healthy. Keep up the good work e - lights and forgot to mention great customer service if you ever call them as i have a few times.

Batteries And Cigs Do Not Last Long

I have used these for some time now and it is time to try something else. The pack says 40 cigarette's. I smoked 10/15 a day and there is no way I can get 2 days from them. The batteries are always going quickly and the are soon finished with very quickly. Far too expensive too.

Utter Rubbish

I'd recently tried nicolites which were very good in comparison to these; you could get a decent enough "drag", when the charger ran flat it could be powered up to max again in about two hours tops, but you could still use it on less than a full charge.

But the E-lites? Put it this way - buy yourself a truss because even after a three hour charge it'll tear your balls off trying to get anything out of it. I don't know how long the average smoker waits for each cigarette, but a three hour charge only to get a similar effect to sucking on a biro is not my idea of money well spent, and these ain't cheap.

Try another brand is my advice.

Not Quite As Advertised...

Yes, as a nicotine substitute E-lites are great. However, having been using them for 6months (a fair time to review objectively) I find the batteries do not hold their charge for more than 3 hours or so - ok so long as you have plenty of spares. My main complaint is that the claim that one tip is the equivalent to 40 cigarettes is ludicrous. Some last longer than others, mostly less than 12 hours max. I used to smoke 15 cigarettes a day max.... but am using 1 - 2 tips daily making it very expensive indeed. The only bonus is that I am not inhaling tobacco smoke. I am definitely looking for an alternative as these are turning out to be very overpriced!

I Beg To Disagree.

I purchased a single E-Lite recently and like many people here, was very disappointed when the cigarette did not last very long. I sent it back to the manufacturers with a polite note asking if perhaps it was faulty. I received a very swift and polite response saying that the E-Lite had been checked and it was simply that the battery needed recharging. I was sent a free charger and another free E-Lite tip so I am extremely pleased and happy with such excellent customer services. Since the `light` E-Lite is exactly like my usual brand of popular cigarette, I shall continue to use the product and recommend it to my friends who are trying to stop smoking.

Rip-off

I normally vape with a Totally Wicked tornado kit. I ran out of juice and bought an e-lite kit a couple of extra cartridges to keep me going until I re-ordered some of my regular juice. The e-lites work ok for a while but the stated 40 cigs from a cartridge is fraudulent. I only smoked 3 cigs a day, but one cartridge lasted just one day. Something just doesn't add up. £8 / for 2 days was just shocking for me. Totally wicked fluid costs about £3.50 for 10ml and lasts me over a week. Cheaper if you buy bigger bottles in bulk. The taste of e-lites is also very poor compared with Totally Wicked. Totally Wicked also does free delivery and I always get them in 2 working days. Avoid e-lites as just way too expensive.

Out Of Date, Out Of Liquid

I have started to purchase these as they are easily available and not bad in flavour. But they are expensive and don't last very long. The cartridges are not consistent in how long they last and I have found many shops, even Sainsbury's have out of date packs that must come from the supplier as Sainsbury sell out often so must rotate stock properly. I am taking my latest pack back and going back to ordering Greensmoke which is a much better smoke and much cheaper if you order lots. How they managed to get into all the shops around me is beyond me as product is rubbish. Oh look made in China, wonder if that affects the quality?

Q&A

sharromakylakay

Just purchased my first menthol e.light and I have noticed best before date 15 Aug 2013 should I return to the shop? Because 1st time buyer I have nothing to compare it to but it isn't very good many thanks.

Suggest you avoid E-Lites. The price of the replacement cartridges are ridiculously overpriced and their claim that you can get approximately 40 cigarettes from a cartridge is totally absurd and false.

IMO the best E-Cigarette on the market is currently 'Green Smoke' and although you cannot buy them from a shop but only on-line it really is worth the effort as they genuinely do work.

However, whichever E-Cigarette you go for, and there are many to choose from please do not continue with E-Lites as you will be very disappointed with the performance and the ongoing expense of this brand.

Finally, if you are not sure what to do just read all the reviews submitted on this site about 'E-Lites' for more proof that they really are a total waste of money.

Good luck.
