Went The Extra Mile....

I bought a Voigtlander lens which I thought faulty, I returned it and they sent a replacement out immediately. The second lens I also assessed as faulty . They examined sample images I had sent, did their own testing on the first lens I had sent back and agreed that the issue I had identified was genuine. However I have to agree with their assessment that for most customers it would not be an issue in normal use. They immediately agreed to take the second lens back, issued a refund the day they received it and refunded my return postage costs.

I always felt they were taking me seriously, they showed that they were prepared to investigate thoroughly and they demonstrated that they are prepared to deal with customer issues promptly, effectively and certainly to my satisfaction.

In my mind a good dealer is one who is prepared to deal fairly with problems and not just act as a box shifter.

I will use them again and would recommend them.

Excellent customer service, honoured an offer price even though I had missed the final day of the sale. Delivered less than 24 hours after ordering! Fantastic price on a high quality item, at a time when most other stockists have none. Would highly recommend and will be using again in future.

Worst Customer Service Ever!

I ordered "Nikon 28-300mm f3.5-5.6 G ED VR AF-S Lens" from their website

in the same day I ordered & paid for the product they sent me an email stating that the product is out of stock!

The website didn't indicate (and still in the time of writing this review) that the product is out of stock!

Anyway I sent them several emails telling them to cancel my order and get a refund but I only got a respond after 5 DAYS!! what a waste of time

please before ordering anything from them email them and ask about product availability so you don't get delayed and your credit card get charged for no reason !

Best Online Camera Shop, Bar None

I was recommended Robert White by a friend on Flickr, and since then I have not looked to other camera shops. Lenses and cameras are delicate and expensive equipment, and the respect Robert White's staff members have for what they are selling shows in everything they do, from their online shop to their packaging.

Their customer support is the best - Daniel, in particular, is amazing. We have had a customs error when importing the goods to Iceland, not dependent on them, and Daniel did the impossible to help us avoid unjustified over-billing from the notoriously overzaelous Icelandic customs.

Everything we purchased from them was packaged perfectly and of superb quality. Shipping took them less than a few hours of processing, every time.

Best online camera shop, and I mean it.

I'm Absolutely Shocked By The Service Of Robert Wh

I'm absolutely shocked by the service of Robert White. I ordered a tripod and head online, found my credit card was charged, but received several emails asking me for more information. They requested I send a copy of my passport photo, proof of billing address, proof of institutional VAT number with address on an official document, and get this, they request I call my credit card company across the pond, register shipping address details with them, and obtain a reference no. to send onto Robert White. After putting several days effort into acquire everything, multiple scans of documents, international calls, and annoying several members of staff at my institution to find the suitable documents and sending them on to Robert White, Robert White respond by saying the items I ordered are not in stock! All that effort for nothing! Worst service ever.

Excellent Service, Great Price, However - I Purcha

Excellent service, great price, however - I purchased a set of Elinchrom BXRI 500 to go and a few other items. within a month of purchase one of my BXRI heads packed in on me, this was after very little use. I called the shop and got the returns information required and was surprised that all postage costs would be absorbed by me (£22). Now in my book i feel that this should be automatically sorted by this company as is the case with Park Cameras etc, I took this matter up with the staff there to be informed that this was company policy and it wasn't going to change anytime soon. the long and short of this experience looses a customer, I now shop in Park Cameras in the knowledge that if things do go wrong then I wont be paying the administrative costs in postage etc. real shame as the service and pricing were excellent. P.S. the turnaround time for this was almost a month and I reckon that since The Flash Centre are the UK repair centre I could have spead the whole process up by posting directly to them instead of posting to Poole for them to post to the flash centre.

I Have Only Used Them Once - I Ordered 5 Rolls Of

I have only used them once - I ordered 5 rolls of Fuji 160c on a Wednesday evening and they arrived on Friday morning (within UK), so dispatch was speedy. Unfortunately, however, 4 of the 5 rolls were out of date, 6 months past expiry.Speaking to them on the 'phone afterwards they said I shouldn't worry the film would probably be fine. They admitted the film had not been kept refridgerated. They didn't offer to replace the rolls. They tried to blame Fuji, saying they'd been sent out of date stock from them before (if this was true, then all the more reason to double check what you are sending your own customers, I'd have thought)!I offered to send them the old rolls back and asked for replacements, 2 'phone calls and several weeks later I am yet to receive anything. They have made not attempt to contact me.

I Live In The Usa, And It Was So Great To Be Able

I live in the USA, and it was so great to be able to speak to someone on the phone from a camera store that also has a great online service. The staff at the Robert White of Poole camera shop were helpful, courteous and friendly. The most important thing about an online camera store is actually talking to the people who are involved with the store. There was no pressure to buy anything else, and there was no pressure to take some sort of insurance. They told me they had the item in stock, and within 4 days it was delivered to my door. I live in California by the way, and items from New York camera stores take longer than this!

Very professional, polite and helpful.
