Snotty And Rude Old Women
Unless you like being insulted by snobby and rude old women, then avoid this place. The curtains are generally good quality although there is a charity shop air and smell in the shop. They seem to have a monopoly on second hand curtains which is unjustified as 1 minute of internet searching yields other shops who are a great deal more helpful and professional!
The made to measure side is reasonable value although the woman who runs this works very part time so not for those who would like their curtains made in a sensible timeframe.
Thank you for spending the time to post your review.
We are extremely sorry that you recently had an unpleasant visit to our Fulham store.
If you could kindly call me to discuss your this further.
Look forward to hearing from,

Extremely Rude And Unhelpful Staff - Avoid!
I rang the Fulham branch of the Curtain Exchange in advance to check their normal criteria for accepting second hand curtains. I was told that curtains needed to be interlined (as well as lined), at least 2m 20 long and that they were not keen on flowery curtains as they have not been selling well.
My curtains complied with all these criteria and I duly drove for 30 mins to get there, only to be hold in the rudest possible manner that my curtains were too "dated" for them to accept (and this without any proper inspection or even more than a cursory glance, and in fact the curtains were ex-Osborne & Little). I was then invited to leave the shop.
London is full of helpful, reasonably priced curtain shops and I would seriously urge anyone looking for curtains to give this place a wide berth. And I suggest that their staff try spending a few weeks at charm school.

This Shop Had Some Beautiful Curtains For Sale At
This shop had some beautiful curtains for sale at great prices but their customer service is shockingly bad. I purchased a pair of curtains for my very wide 5m patio doors. I gave all the measurements to the assistant and she pointed out just 2 or 3 that I could choose from due to the unusual size. Fortunately one pair I loved and bought them there and then. I had them taken up professionally (at a fraction of the price quoted by the Curtain Exchange for this service) and excitedly started to hang them at the patio doors. Only at this stage did I discover that the dappy assistant had sold me curtains that were only 3.5m wide!
I could fill pages detailing the tedious correspondence back and forth with the branch and head office trying to resolve this problem but suffice to say that they were disinterested, unco-operative, lacking in the basic courtsey of returing calls and wholly unpleasant to deal with.
After weeks of chasing, I finally managed to secure only a credit note to the value of the original curtains, by which point the Dulish store had closed and I had to trek to Fulham to find replacements.
I can honestly say that this company provided possibly the worst customer service I have ever encountered and dealing with them was a stressful and unpleasant experience throughout.
They're not as superior as they seem to think they are.

I Used The Curtain Exchange In Dulwich Which Is A
I used the Curtain Exchange in Dulwich which is a franchise as are most of these shops. I opted for a Bespoke Blind due to not finding a suitable second hand curtain or blind of size. They were happy to provide advice and take the money, but the entire service from start to finish and quality of the blind was truly unpleasant.
The blind was not made on time, their recommended fitter did not respond to phone calls to arrange fitting and blind was left sitting with them for 3 months; blind had noticeable 5 mm holes in the fabric from stab stitching. Black-out material is pulling away from the main blind with 3 months of use and manager of this store is unhelpful in resolving the problems to the point of rudeness. The head office is inefficient, customer made to feel like it was normal to have such quality and complaining for no reason.
I cringe every time I look at this blind hanging in my son's room with a cost of approx £700. The management at the store was unprofessional and head office has not been very helpful or answered emails speedily. I feel thoroughly dissatisfied by the whole experience and will never use a small curtain shop again. The department stores and larger stores have training, operational management and customer satisfaction well planned and executed efficiently. The head office has not provided much information to suggest this would not happen again to another customer and they don't have any customer or quality control in place or training provided to franchises.
Take care when dealing with them.
