Poor Quality, Terrible Service
We have had an awful experience with Sofa Workshop. We purchased the Eden Sofa 14 months ago and the armrest cushions do not stand upright (never have, never will). I have been in touch with various people at Sofa Workshop since a week after we received the sofa, been told all sorts of garbage (just plump up the cushions!) they sent someone from Fira to my house who said nothing was wrong with it (????) and just today have been told they will take no further action, and basically I’ve just got to live with it.
The sofa looks sloppy, cheap and we are so disappointed. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!

Would Not Recommend To My Worst Enemy
Frankly there is nothing I can say about Sofa Workshop that is positive. The showroom on the Kings Road, Chelsea is shambolic, chaotic, such a high turnover in staff that there seems to be new staff on every visit. Sunday shopping is a gamble - it may open on time but more often than not it opens 20 odd minutes late.
All of that is positive compared to the customer service. There isn't any. When i asked for the Head Office Customer Services I was told by one member of staff there wasn't any and by another from another branch I was told they weren't allowed to give the number out. 17 phone calls, including to GS (I am not allowed to put names in this review) who is the CEO of Sofa Workshop and no one can help me and no one has rung me back.
You would think I was asking for the earth. Its just about delivery of 2 Browning sofas & a Previn
The logistics telephone number is not picked up, the number advertised on their website is just sales. There is no help line.
I ignored previous advice to stay clear and I didn't and just shy of 3 months on from the order and I am regretting every penny and every minute I have wasted on them.

Quick To Take Your Money, Slow To Refund.
Reserved sofa and went to shop only to find they are not what we expected compared to online. Still waiting for refund for the deposit 2 weeks on, no order placed and no confirmed order noted.
Tunbridge store I dealt with and they keep giving excuses for why this is not done yet, mentioning the finance department or head office etc.
Poor Quality Product
Third sofa returned following third party fault inspection. Finally seeking full refund. Not a hint of an apology or compensation from Directors; the people are doing their best with a poorly manufactured product.

Carrie Sofa
We bought a Carrie sofa last December and it looks very contemporary.H owever, it has very firm seat cushions unlike the sofa in the showroom.I would have purchased elsewhere if I had known this.
Appalling Service
Appalling service. it took so long to get this sofa, i can only assume that behind all the charming customer-facing service there is one man in a garage winnowing the frames with a pen knife while his wife raises sheep and weaves the fabric. it took six months from order to delivery, two months of this to undertake a small repair due to a rip in the fabric noticed by the delivery man and reported on the spot. was it worth waiting for? not really. It's just a sofa and not as a mazing as I'd hoped. i requested compensation for the delay and the length of time for which they had my full payment without delivery but i did not receive a response.

Extremely Disappointed Customer...
Ordered a £2,200 sofa trusting that the fabric sample I was sent through the post was a true likeness of the material that would cover the whole 'bespoke' sofa. Unfortunately for me this wasn't the case.
When the sofa arrived 8weeks later I immediately panicked when the delivery guys removed the plastic covering.
It was NOTHING like I expected and I really dislike the material sheen/colour.
I contacted the branch where I had made the order Newbury, Berkshire) within 5 mins of the sofa being delivered.
Extremely disappointed with the non existent customer aftercare.... head office point blankly refused to come out and look at the material which to me is not a true representation of the 'sample'!
I now have a sofa that dominates the whole living room which I can't bear - not the outcome I had hoped for.
Be very cautious when choosing such a large piece of furniture from one fabric sample....

Washable Covers Are A Disaster
We brought 2 sofa workshop sofas with washable covers in 1994, had them for 20 years and were very happy.
Based on past experience, we have recently purchased 3 units, again with washable covers, and after just one cold wash, they look like cheap rubbish.
The old covers fitted perfectly and relied on a set of buttons at the rear to tighten. We washed them dozens of times and they continued looking great.
The new covers are a different design with long strips of velcro to secure. Getting them back on is military operation with hems and zips feeling like they are about to split and, once on, they are a mis-shapen mess. The main sofa covers are hemmed along the edges but not on the corners - already every corner has frayed and looks like the dog has chewed them. The fabric has shrunk even though we washed cold, and the cushions are totally out of shape with 2" gaps between.
We'll be speaking to customer services tomorrow but frankly, even if they sort it I'll be disappointed that a supposedly premium product is so poor.

Dreadful Sofa
I bought a Mr Calm sofa. It has been uncomfortable and unsupportive. When I sit on it, it feels as if I am being forced off it. There is no support in the back cushions and I now have sciatica as a result. I took this complaint to the store in Bath and was asked to write to the Customer Services Manager about it. I did this and in response received a terse voicemail call which informed me that I would need to spend another 140 pounds for seat and back cushions. This, they described as a good will gesture! I have never received such poor customer service. The store staff have made no effort to ascertain what the sofa is like when used by me as a customer. They send out their technical consultant who only assesses whether or not the sofa has been made to specification. Do not go to this company to buy a sofa.
I am having exactly the same problem with a Harry sofa I purchased from the Bath Store. The back cushions force you to sit forward thereby forcing one to the edge of the seat cushion. I paid extra to have feather wrapped foam but the so called 'expert' they sent along, says the filling is according to 'specs'. These seat cushions stay flat and with extra folds of flappy fabric!! The seat cushions offer no support and I am now having Physio on my back due to the poor quality of this product. They also offered me new cushions at cost as a goodwill gesture. I'm sure you can imagine what I told them to do with that. I am not going to leave this though.

Not The Expected Quality And A Big Let Down
Thinking we would get better quality than chain store we bought 2 Beth sofas from them 8 years ago with a 5 year warranty. They messed up the delivery and tried to treble-charge us for uplift of the old suite. Because of their appalling service they gave us a free footstool to keep us quiet but were giving them away anyway by then on a promotion. At just under 2 years the piping was coming off the cushions so I tried to claim only to find they had gone bust, were under new ownership and would not honour the guarantee even though they were still trading from the same premises under the same name - and still are today. The zips on the cushions all came apart, the fabric wore through and the springs broke so they are now a write off and heading for the tip. So much for craftsman built quality! I would not recommend this company to anyone and have returned to Harveys who were excellent in the past.
