Stealing Our Money

WATERSTONES are Stealing your money!!! This is a copy of a notice they are sending out to all their "valued" customers who hold points on gift cards bought for them by loving friends and relatives

Dear Cardholder,

We are contacting you as you're a registered Waterstones Cardholder and we're making an important change to the terms and conditions of the scheme. Even if you've opted out of receiving marketing email updates from us, we are still committed to telling you about important changes in the scheme that may affect you.

We are introducing account expiry to The Waterstones Card Scheme. This means that if you do not use your Waterstones Card for a period of three years, your Card will expire and all accrued points will be lost.

To give you time to prepare, the changes will not take effect until 23rd April 2015. Please note, if by this date you have not used your Card for three or more years, it will expire.

We are introducing Card expiry to help us manage our growing database of many millions of Cardholders and to reward those customers actively using their Cards.

Full details of these changes are available in our Waterstones Card Expiry helpsheet, including simple instructions on how to keep your Card active: Waterstones.com/cardexpiry.

Lost your Card? Other queries? If you have lost your Waterstones Card, or have any questions about your account and Card expiry please visit the General FAQ section here.

Your details - it is important that you keep us up to date with your contact details. If this is not the best email address on which to reach you, please contact Customer Support to tell us about your preferred email address address (don't forget to quote your Waterstones Card number). This will help us let you know nearer the time if you have a Card at risk of expiry.

Thank you for being a valued Cardholder,

The Waterstones Card Team

This is tantamount to stealing your money, how can they get away with it? If I tried to steal my customers money, I would end up in court and on this scale I would go to prison!!!!

I Applied For A Loyalty Card With Waterstones Quit

I applied for a loyalty card with Waterstones quite a while ago now, and I am still waiting for my loyalty card to arrive, so at the present time. I am not prepared to give a rating on the Waterstones Loyalty card.

I do a lot of business with their Bold Street Branch in Liverpool, and give them a lot of business.... All I want is a loyalty card; is it too much to ask?

Unless you applied online, you should've received the Waterstone's card when you registered. If you signed up online, you might've filled your details in incorrectly. Contact the card helpline to get your card.

We would like to apologise to you for not receiving your Card - this is an unusual incident, as Cards applied for on Waterstone's website usually take 28 days to arrive. Please let us know who you are by calling our customer helpline and we will ensure you get your Card asap. Thank you for bringing this to our attention,

The Waterstone's Card Team.
