Hotel Chocolat

Hotel Chocalat service was excellent!! The chocolates were excellent...They were exactly what was said on the tin!

I have used Hotel Chocolate ( Www.hotelchocolat.co.uk) and they went beyond the normal call of service and resent another box of chocolates when they sent chocolates to credit card address instead of girl friends shipping address whilst I was away for overseas work.... No doubt in this case it was my mistake and most likely clicked ship to billing address, but THEY resent chocolates on there own initiative to girlfriend, which made her and my day (was prepared to give chocolates when I was home...

I have no hesitation on ordering chocolates from them again, as they quality nod delight from girl friend was money well spent..

I have always rated Hotel Chocolat, but my recent experience with their customer service team exceeded all expectations I had.

I ordered some Christmas items from their website, which arrived within the allocated time - however - 3 of the boxes of chocolates were unfortunately damaged. Several chocolates were squashed in each one.

Picking up the phone (and not expecting to hear anything very pleasing) I decided to ring them. I was met with absolute professionalism by the man on the end of the phone who couldn't apologise enough for the situation.

He asked me which products were damaged and I told him, not only did say they would replace them straightaway, but he asked if I needed the items quickly. I explained I did as I have relatives visiting from the USA at the weekend and I won't see them before Christmas. His response? I'll get them sent out straightaway for you with fast delivery.

Bearing in mind I made this phone call at 5.30pm last night, I have just received the replacements by courier less than 24 hours later.

Outstanding.

Some time ago, I purchased a trial box of assorted luxury chocolates from Hotel Chocolat which were absolutely delicious - no problems so far. When I first took their trial pack, I specifically requested that I did not wish to be emailed, mail marketed or contacted since membership requires that you cannot buy on an 'as and when needed' basis which is what I would have preferred. Despite my specific wishes, reinforced with a number of emails and calls to their rather inappropriately named Customer Service Team, I received a marketing call from them yet again today. Despite trying to politely end the call by stating that I would only buy from them on an 'as and when required' basis, the young lady apologised for the call but then went on to say - 'Whilst I've got you on the phone, can I discuss our special Christmas offers ....!!!'. This was - and is! - the last straw! I have now emailed them YET AGAIN asking that I be removed from their databases with IMMEDIATE EFFECT. I would score their products 5-star - no question! As for their Customer Service Team - 1-star is being very generous. AVOID at all costs and just buy what you wish from their retail stores but BEWARE of giving them any contact details unless you are prepared to be plagued by calls.

I love Hotel Chocolat, the website is easy to navigate and they offer fast delivery on all their products. In fact if you live near a Hotel Chocolat store you can pick your product up in-store after buying online.

I totally love Hotel Chocolat, they have the best tasting chocolate. As far as a luxury retailers goes they are not really that expensive so it makes the proposition of buying gifts for your family and friends from them a little less painful.

This is a great shop to visit if you are looking to buy a chocolate gift that is a bit different.

Some of the chocolates they make are fab, I bought a selection to try and some were amazing, a tastebud explosion, yet some were a bit dull and I was left disappointed.

Everyone is different though and the ones I liked someone else may not and vice versa.

I certainly will vist the Chocolate Hotel again, though it won't be an every week visit as it is a little expensive.
