Nice Beginners Car

I bought the kit as my first "real" rc car and spent a couple of days putting it together, firstly I'd say what a great price, nice speed for learning how to stear and turn corners aswell as racing around the garden with my brother who has a blizzard! It can cope easliy with terrain such as grass aswell as sandy/muddy tracks. It also is good on tarmac, but going into tight corners at high speeds does cause some drifting/ skidding.Faults with this car are that it has a very large turning circle aswell as that in the instructions manuel for the kit the ESC is soposed to be on the servo but when I tried this the body wouldn't fit onto the car. So I used some double sided tape to stick it onto the piece of metal that runs down the centre of the car where it has enough space

Good Beginners Car - However Some Major Design Fla

Good beginners car - however some major design flaws and shoddy build quality in the RTR versions.

The car does around 25mph out of the box and can handle rough ground with ease. If you run it on tarmac, the tyres will wear quickly. You can adjust plenty of things on this car. On mine, the steering was toed out quite a way - this can be adjusted by screwing the hex nuts in or out behind the front wheels - or a much coarser adjustment can be done by moving the steering links to different positions. It is also possible to adjust the camber etc. On the one I got, the screws in the steering links had been overtightened and the threads were stripped.

If you decide you want more speed, you can replace the ESC and motor with a brushless setup - however the car has no slipper clutch and is very hard on gears as a result. It is possible to get custom made gears (see ebay) which are hardened steel and solve the problem - these are pretty expensive though - especially if you break a tooth off one!

With regards to build quality - my RTR version had numerous screws which had been overtightened - one on the steering link, one on the front suspension mount and one on the gearbox cover / rear diff. I also question the quality of the platics used - they may be a little flimsy - I managed to break a suspension arm within days of getting the car simply by clipping a curb - however I have also had some spectacular crashes where nothing has broken!

Overall this is a good introduction to the sport, but may prove less reliable in the long term.

Just Bought One Myself About 2 Weeks Ago, Good Car

just bought one myself about 2 weeks ago, good car and durable but not much space for mods, need to totally rip apart the gear encasement just to play with gears etc, good value for money and great fun to drive once you speed it up a bit =]

An Incredible Piece Of Kit With A Brilliant Awd Dr

An incredible piece of kit with a brilliant awd drive it really is spectacular over rough ground or smooth tarmac. Just one thing, it's not as rewarding as something which is a bit harder to drive.

Very Good Car For The Beginner And If You Install

Very good car for the beginner and if you install a good speed control/motor its very suitable for competition(low class).price/quality is just perfect, can't find a car for that price that drives half that good out f the box.

I Love My Ansmann 1/10 Master Smacker Remote Contr

I love my Ansmann 1/10 Master Smacker remote control car. Its so much fun to play with. It does take a while to charge but its worth it. I also think it would be better if it went faster but that ok.
