I Hired Christina Beam To Photograph My Wedding In
I hired Christina Beam to photograph my wedding in Madison last summer. I wanted someone who would cover my wedding like a photojournalist. That's what she promised and exactly what she delivered. The photos were amazing! She captured our joy in her photographs and I love them and the story they tell.
I didn't want ANY posed photos because I think they're corny and make the wedding party/family uncomfortable. My in-laws made us take a few and Christina took them quickly and kept everyone in a good mood. I wouldn't say they were anything spectacular but the lighting was good, everyone was smiling, and most importantly it was over with soon.
She was sweet and had a good sense of humor, and she was a joy to have with us on our wedding day. Most of the time we never noticed she was there and she captured all these little moments without intruding. The photos I will always treasure are the ones that tell our story and that's where she really exceled.
I have already suggested her to friends looking to get family and wedding photos taken.

Christina Beam Is Not Assertive In The Least Bit--
Christina Beam is not assertive in the least bit--Any posed pictures that you would like to be taken, be ready to have a family member or yourself direct people where to stand which can be quite stressful with a large wedding party. A lot of my posed pictures with my wedding party were either lop-sided with too many people on one side or people were hidden (My husband and I each had 6 people standing up).
She does not take direction--my mom pacifically asked if she would go around and take a picture of each table and she didn't.
Also, she hardly took any photos at the reception.
I would not suggest her to anyone who wants a photographer to take charge and have an eye for natural pictures AND posed pictures as well.
