J.C.M. Studios, Brentwood, Essex Wedding Photography

We booked JCM for our wedding in August. Their prices are fantastic and we chose the CD only package with a minimum of 400 pictures. We were offered a discount due to a midweek wedding and so in total we only paid around £450 for a full day of coverage. James turned up exactly on time on the morning of the wedding and was absolutely fantastic. We had a few younger bridesmaids and quite a few young children at the wedding and he was really good with them and kept them occupied. We supplied a list of all the photos we wanted on the day so we weren't disappointed and got them all and many more! Our wedding was on the Thursday and our CD of photos (about 500!) was posted out exactly a week later and the photos are all fantastic quality and the CD is supplied in a lovely leather case with one of our photos on the cover. For the price, we really couldn't have asked for any more - it was perfect!

At the initial appointment we discussed a list of prefered photos to have on our wedding day, which was provided. The photographer was friendly and patient as it rained at the wedding ceremony venue and he also took pics at the reception due to the change in weather. The most beautiful pics were taken at the hotel, which appeared to be a much more costly hotel than it was! I would highly recommend this photography company JCM Photography, Brentwood, not sure why others didn't feel they had a good experience, but we di and cannot thank them for the delightful pics and memories we shall have for the rest of our lives. We went for a family portrait sitting at J.C.M. Studios. The photograpaher took a disappointingly short time taking the photographs and having agreed to two separate viewings of the proofs to accomodate diferent availabilties he later changed his mind and began moaning that he wanted to ensure a sale before he showed any photographs! He was quite curt in a conversation and unhelpful -he even suggested that he have another conversation with my partner because he appeared to not be happy talking to me- I was insulted and felt very unlikely to spend money there - I have yet to see the photogrpahs!!

We booked the £400 package at J.C.M. Studios as I did not want the day taken over by a photographer - the idea was to have a relaxed as possible day. The photos my father took with his cheap digital camera were far superior in both the colour quality and angle they were taken from.

When we got the proofs back we were under the impression that the poor quality was due to the fact they were proofs. When we took delivery of the album I had to leave it with JCM as the photos had not been glued to the pages properly and several photos were actually BLURRED.

The photographer should have taken our picture in front of the car outside of the church. Instead he decided that the house next door to the church would be a better bet - go figure??? Bad points were everything, from the blurred images and missing parents in the "family" photographs to the quality of the album (pages peeling off).

Wedding photos should only be taken once in a lifetime, so you cannot use past experience when deciding who should take your photos on the big day.

We met JCM at a wedding fayre at the Brentwood Centre and they took the time to go through what WE wanted on our day and not, like other photographers, what we HAD to have. Bearing in mind we were at a wedding fayre so there were lots of other people around they did not rush us or ask us to make an appointment but instead spoke to us at length about the various options available to us. Their prices were also the most reasonable which when planning a wedding is very important. The staff in the shop are very helpful and friendly and on our big day he put us at ease and didn't rush us and was very patient - especially with the children! Would recommend.

Constant calling to my room when I was trying to assure nervous bridemaids, made me a wreck, totally ruined my day!!! Compalints that he had to elsewhere although we had paid over £900. The photographer was early!!

From the moment I walked into JCM Studios I knew that I would book them to photograph our special day.

The staff were so helpful and not in the slightest bit pushy (which I found some photographers to be); they were honest, informative and true to their word.

It was great to see a selection of albums to see examples of their work which enabled me to decide on the style of my photographs. I went for a mixture of traditional and reportage in both black and white and colour.

On our wedding day the photographers were both friendly and professional and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed.

The results were truly outstanding - I couldn't have wished for a more perfect way to remember our special day by. I ended up ordering nearly all of our photographs as they were so fantastic it proved too hard to choose between them!

I would recommend JCM Studios to anyone.

JCM Studios really did a fantastic job at capturing all the precious moments of our wedding day and making us feel really special.

Not only are they good value for money but they can tailor the package to each couple's individual needs. We had a mix of informal black and whites and formal colour shots which refect all the different emotions and atmosheres of the day.

I was really impressed with their professionism, they were already familiar with the venue and this helped to get the best shots possible.

The "After service" was also very efficient, an important thing when you're desparate to see just how you all looked on the day!!

J.C.M. Studios Good service from start to finish, The prices were the most attractive, as the finished albums and photos when compared in quality to rival photographers was similar, but hundreds of pounds cheaper. We booked on recommendation, after having attended a friend's wedding, saw the photographer at work, and saw the finished album. The cheaper price did put us off, as it didn't seem right, offering all the things they do, but they make everything themselves, so I suppose they can offer a decent price, it certainly helped us to make our money go further.
