Jennifer Miller Natural Portraits In Paradise Islamorada, FL

I am also left devastated by Jennifer Miller Natural Portraits. I paid $450 to have portraits of my 1 and 3 year old taken on the beach in Key West. After months of calls and emails and the runaround, I never received anything. Fortunately I paid with my American Express and was able to get my money back. But, my son now has a mouth full of teeth and is walking. I will never be able to relive that time of his life.

Our wedding was in December 07 and the devastating fire was in October 07. My question is, at what point were the apparent excuses going to stop? I really would like to know where my money is.

Our story is similar to others, but I take little solace in the fact others had to suffer through the agony of waiting for nothing in return. In the months after our wedding, I traded many nice and nasty emails with Jennifer Miller Natural Portraits who only seemed to have excuses for not having our pictures that all centered around the life-changing, traumatic, devastating fire. To rub salt in the wound, I was made to feel like I had no right demanding what I paid for!

If you can't tell, I am still extremely bitter about this situation. I'm only writing this because there were many couples before us AND many after us who have had the same experience.

For those who have not contacted the lab in Islamorada (Cam Plus), please be prepared to pay more money to release your photos and negatives. If that isn't enough, out of the photos we received, there were only a handful of quality shots that we could use to showcase our wedding.

We paid $1250 up front. Jennifer Miller apparently finished early. I never heard from them again. They said to allow 4 months due to her fire. I started emailing and phoning right around this time. I have never gotten a response yet. I am absolutely devastated. The phone line seems to have since been disconnected. There is nothing more for us to do. We fear we are just out of $1250 and will never see our most important day through photos.

I do not know how they can get away with treating us like this. It is just not fair.

3 months later have gotten no answer to phone calls or emails yet. Have not yet received any pictures. Feel like we have been taken advantage of.

My heart is broken for my daughter and son-in-law who hired Jennifer Miller Natural Portraits to do their wedding in Key West, June 2007.

Jennifer Miller Natural Portraits were paid a lot of money in full before the wedding date and as mentioned in a previous complaint, appeared very professional on the phone and have a beautiful web site displaying some work. Turned out to be seemingly arrogant and not very professional at all the day of the wedding. Did not appear interested in knowing who the family members were and went about the day refusing to shoot any pictures other than those which were set-up without consulting the bride, groom or parents at all.

We were promised that we would receive the entire package in 6 weeks. Six months later we still received no proofs and could not reach them by phone. At last, we were informed that there had been a fire and everything was lost. Here it is a year later and we were just informed that if we want our pictures we will have to contact the lab and pay for the negatives ourselves.

After reading the comments posted here I now see that there were others who had this experience as well and can understand their heartbreak because that is our experience exactly.

We just found out today that won't be getting the pictures we paid for. I just hope that some of our pictures will be usable and that we will one day get back some of the money we paid. I'm really hurt by this whole situation. We're still in shock that this has happened. Truly a nightmare.

My husband and I are just so sad after using Jennifer Miller Natural Portraits In Paradise. It took 6 months and they said they had no money to do our photos. Even though we paid them in full a month before the wedding and a lot of money. We had to pay more money to get the prints from the photo lab that they dropped them off at. We never received a CD which I paid a lot for separate from the photos. Not only do you pay for them to be at the wedding which was a nightmare by the way. We felt they rushed all photos of me and my husband and refused to take photos with the family. Natural Portraits In Paradise was only interested in taking photos they wanted to take. When it was time for the photographer to leave they said good bye and congrats to me and my brother. After doing the wedding they still had no idea who the groom was...... When we finally paid the extra money to get the photos from the lab there was 19 rolls of film in which only 23 pictures were usable. I feel my four year old nephew would have done a better job. It is making me sick to my stomach as I speak. Please beware Natural Portraits In Paradise seem very professional on the phone and website looks great. I would hate to see this happen to anyone else. You can't replace photos of memory's...
