I paid through groupon for my mother and mother in law to have the makeover and photoshoot. They loved every second and paid £50 each for 5 pictures. We thought that was reasonable considering the pictures were fab.

First time at the salon thought it would be an outstanding first class service.

However receptionist was very cold and lost in her chit chat with other staff, rather than greeting

New customers.

Followed by the stylist who was slobbering and wiping his nose several times with the back

Of his hands. He also reacked of cigarettes too.

Once he got to the wash basin it felt as though he was tugging at my hair violently. I bit my tongue

Rather than speaking out. Stupid me!

Then when he took me back to the chair he virtually ripped my hair out and made me

Cry as he was combing my hair. I then said look ur hurting me and your ripping my hair look its on the

Floor u haven't even started cutting.

He then said If I was ripping ur hair out u would know about it.

I was so upset I asked the manager to contact me. However after two months

I'm still waiting

I attended a lovely day at New ID Studios in October, couldn't fault the day itself. My work collegue also attended a short time after, loved the day aswell! It has since come to light that my work collegue paid HALF the ammount i paid for the photos!

We were told no discounts, they tried to use that as an excuse. We were told they couldn't lower it anymore, due to the boss, as an excuse. We were told we couldn't view the photos on a seperate day, my work collegue did, another excuse.

I have since been swapping emails with the customer service team who have started to ignore me! I have sent letters, that havent been replied to! My details have apparently been passed onto the studio manager, I have had no contact with her.

This issue has been ongoing for over a month now and I will never deal with this company again. Watch you don't get ripped off people!

I have to hand it to New ID they certainly do exactly what they say they are going to do and give you a glimpse of just how incredible to you can look. I do not wear a lot of makeup, in fact I wear hardly any so I guess it was never going to be that hard to make me look completely different but I never expected that I could look that incredible even with a great new hair style and some professionally applied makeup. The whole experience of New ID was really thrilling and the time that each and every member of staff took to make sure that I was getting was really reassuring and very considerate when you think that on the day that I was there they did not have an empty seat in the house. I did have a few delays between treatments but it did not bother me in the least, far from it, there was so much going on and so much to look at you would never be bored so don’t even believe that, I have read about that on a few reviews and to me part of the fun being there is not only watching your own transformation but all of the others going on as well. The prints are not cheap but I personally think they are more than worth what you pay for them and feel more than happy to recommend this company. Its top rate.

I took my daughter to have makeover out of desperation at her making no effort to look nice what so ever, I am not sure what is up with kids these days they either look like tarts or lads that don’t care.

I promised her a new outfit and I knew of course that there would be a battle on my hands when I want to buy her something feminine so that was a bit of a trial and taking a daughter mother row into a salon was not on my agenda so I let her chose her own outfit that was not actually too bad. So the big day comes and off we go, I felt very sorry for the New ID staff when I saw the lack of interest on the face and the long lank hair that hangs in rats tails around her face, I thought wow if you can get this one looking like a model then I will pay double!

It stated quite clearly on the information that came with the voucher that there were to be no spectators but in actual fact they seemed pretty happy for me to stick around and it was superb to see the makeover going on before my eyes.

My daughter had very little input other than don’t chop too much off her hair, but they did a lovely job of putting some shape into it and I don’t think she could quite believe how lovely she looked in the makeup that they put on for her.

She went off into the photo room and came out looking radiant. We had a break for half an hour and then we saw the pictures that were stunning.

We brought four of the pictures and got one free and do you know what, my dowdy daughter now wears a bit of make up, does her hair and on occasion looks like a lady all thanks to New ID

If you, like me, have been onto the New ID website and thought how cheap the deals are and then balked at the price of the prints and thought no way, do not leave the site. If you go onto the individual makeover page you will find a link that takes you to a page that tells you about putting the money you want to spend on your pictures in deposit with them before you go and if you do that they match the amount and this makes the prints at New ID far more affordable. I has such a great time at the salon and even though I was not sure how great the prints were going to be, even after reading such great reports about them I was still unsure that they money I put down and what they added to it was going to spend wisely but it was, I am so glad that I did that deal otherwise I would not have been able to buy the amount of prints that I did. I think that they should put this one the front page of the website because I am sure it would encourage more people to go as the cost of the pictures without this deal would be enough to put anybody off!

Totally loved New ID, had the most amazing time there, did not want to leave and was almost forcibly removed from the photoshoot because I was having so much fun I was pretty determined not to leave! The shoot was incredible. I was really shy to start out but I soon got over that. The very sweet young photographer who looked like she would not say boo to a goose took me in hand and got me doing some really cool poses, she really took control of the situation and I felt totally comfortable and at ease with her. She had the most amazing way about her and is clearly a phenomenal photographer. I don’t care how cheesy this sounds, I had tears in my eyes the whole way through my viewing session and am so grateful to the New ID team for taking so much time over my hair and my makeup and for listening to what I said and what I wanted and creating the perfect look for me. This was a really awesome experience that resulted in some really awesome shots, great stuff. The booking was very easy, booked online, and got a voucher, phoned to book and that was that, all very straight forward and problem free!

New ID certainly did the trick for me. I wanted a new hair style after sporting the same one for about twenty years, I really thought that it was about time for a change. My regular hairdresser has just moved to Germany so I was high and dry wondering who to trust with my long locks. A friend of a friend had been to New ID for a makeover and her hair looked amazing so I decided that rather than just get a new look for my bonce I would go the whole hog and find out about how to get a whole new look with makeup and round it off with a photoshoot. Feeing rather nervous I turned up at the salon with a few pictures of hair styles that I liked. The lovely consultant went through them with me and told me honestly which ones would suit me and which ones they would genuinely be able to achieve. I loved the honestly and felt that I was in very good hands, which it turned out that I was because my now, considerably shorter hair, looks fantastic and is now in a style that takes virtually no looking after at all. The makeup was just as good and now I know how to make my ‘rather impressive’ cheek bones really stand out and how to make my rather thin lips look lush and plump. I was feeling so happy with my New ID that I forgot all about being nervous in the photoshoot and loved every minute of it. I think that this experience has given me a lot of confidence in myself and I am so glad that I went, not just for the amazing photos but for the great new feeling that I have about myself.

I got a voucher from a friend for New ID. I was not that keen to go as I look dreadful in pictures normally, I am not a fan of being in front of a camera and I don’t really like using anybody to have my hair done as my sister is a stylist and she does it for me. So this is where my big thanks to this site comes in because I had a look online for reviews, found this page and thought it sounded great, its amazing to see how many people have given this place five stars and I am proud to be the next one to do it. Everything is good about New ID but it is the staff that shine here, they are so sweet and so much fun and have so much energy and enthusiasm it really makes the experience special. I will say that I was a bit put off by the price of the prints. They are not cheap and it is no cheaper if you get them put on CD but you do get one free and you don’t get pushed into buying them so don’t let this put you off, I am glad that it did not put me off. The hair and makeup were both pretty amazing and when you consider how cheap it is to go, fifty pounds on the voucher I got given, then its worth it just for the hair cut and makeup. Another five stars from me, I am a New ID fan now for sure!

I thought New ID was really very good value even though my initial thoughts were that the pictures were very expensive at the end of it. I went along because mainly because my daughter asked me to go with her after her friend backed out of going. She wouldn’t take any money off me for the voucher, it was only later on that I found out that she got it on a two for one deal and it was only fifty pounds in the first place. When you think of everything that goes into the makeover and the amount of shots that they take for you to chose from I am amazed to find that anybody on the reviews site moans that it is expensive. The other gripe that I have read about is that they push you into buying the shots. Well I would like to say that there was none of that when I was there and they were all very friendly and polite and not in the least bit pushy. The makeup was very lovely and had some serious staying power, I had my makeup put on at 10am and it still looked good at 10pm when I took it off, I thought that it might not come off as it stayed on so long but it came off very easily. I was not as impressed with the hair cut as I have been in other places but it was still very nice. The pictures are due to arrive sometime within the next eight weeks, I did ask why it takes so long but that was about the only question that they could not answer other than that it was all perfect.
