My daughter has just purchased her wedding gown today from Abbey Bridal. Both my daughter and myself were so impressed by the outstanding customer service we received. The two ladies who looked after us were polite, very professional and nothing was too much trouble for them.

I am so glad we decided to go to Abbey Bridal as the gowns are beautiful and the price is very reasonable. I would highly recommend Abbey Bridal to any woman looking to look absolutely amazing on her wedding day

Do not shop here. The dress is useless, way too big. Staff are incompetent and the manager is a nightmare.

I'm going to try Fair Trading but I'll buy another dress somewhere else and sell this rag or use it for gardening.

An awful example of retail hell, shop anywhere else but not here.

One of the worst customer experiences I have ever had, internationally. Even if I would find a dress I wouldn't buy it there and prefer to order it overseas and pay extra than be their customer and give them my money! Dresses aren't even that expensive but they act like they are very exclusive and talk down to you.

I arrived early for my appointment, lady with a big and nice smile said we would be seen soon but I wasn't attended for another 30 min. I was about to leave, as it made me very anxious and shop was very hot and we were not even offered water while waiting. the lady who finally came to assist was polite but not apologetic at all, didn't seem to care to much and quickly went on with her questions about the wedding location etc.

Beforehand, during this waiting time I started looking for dresses I wanted to try, I put them on the side but one of the staff members rudely, without a word just came over and put them back. This girl had so much attitude, as an employer I wouldn't let her anywhere near customers- very mean face, wouldn't even look at you when speaking . I was quite shocked so my friend asked her about it and we were told that we were not allowed to pick dresses I wanted to try, that we can write down the names of the dresses and go back to the front desk with them when someone will see.

I was still looking and then another lady approached me and asked if I was okay and If i had an appointment. I did say that I already " checked in" upon walking in and my appointment was supposed to start long time ago, she said that we will be seen soon and walked away. I was pretty upset at that point but decided to give it another shot and see what will happen when we will be finally seen by someone. And then, surprise surprise, we were told off again! We just sat on the side sofa and they told us, that we cannot see there and we should move.

There were at least 3 ladies just waking around and none of them was attending customers! Also, all dresses are in size 6 USA and even if you are size 8 or 10 like me, even if would like them they will make you very uncomfortable if you are not that size.

Overall, do yourself a favor and avoid this shop! shopping for a dress is supposed to be a nice experience and I can tell you now that it won't be if you go to Abbey Bridal!!

Abby Bridal. One of the absolute worst experiences you will ever have. When you walk in the door the women at the front counter immediately begin judging you. If they don't believe that you are of a certain breeding and monetary background they basically ignore you. Your opinion on what you'd like to wear on your special day holds no value. We gave the woman plenty of advice on what styles the bride was after which were completely ignored. We, the bridesmaids and maid of honour, were told to sit down quite rudely as we were stressing the staff out by wanting to pull dresses for the bride as we knew what she was looking for. The sales woman eventually put the bride in a princess ball gown the complete opposite of what she was after and ignore her continued opinion that she hated it and never wanted to put it on. She then proceeded to put a veil over her head and try to push her into buying a dress she was completely uncomfortable with. Once the sales woman realized that her opinions were not what the bride wanted AT ALL she then told her to get dressed and maybe try back in a few weeks when "larger sizes" might be available. All in all this experience left the bride, one of my best friends, in tears and a stress rash and her final thoughts were to maybe try something with black in the dress in it because based on the brides personality (she spoke to her directly for all of 45 seconds) she likes dramatic dresses and black would look great on her wedding day. I cannot say enough that this place is the absolute WORST place to buy the wedding dress they are unhelpful rude and judgmental preferring to ignore your opinions rather than listen to your thoughts.

I recently ventured to Sydney to look for a gown for my wedding which was less than 3 months away, I had been to other bridal stores, however found exactly what I was looking for at Abbey. I didn't have an appointment- however I do recommend you make one - but the team were very obliging, we were invited to look around at there extensive range. I waited for a assistance for about 10 mins only, she was brilliant, she assisted me in and out of the gowns with ease, nothing was too much trouble. She recommended a beautiful veil and tiara, within an hour I had my entire look - so easy! Thank you, I will be emailing through my wedding day shots.

My daughter and I were recommended Abby Bridal from a friend. We went in not knowing what to except. We were welcomed with very friendly and efficient staff. She was then assigned to us and then asked my daughter what she was looking for in a dress. She listened and suggested a few things and then went to get some dresses to try on.

The second dress she tried on ended up being the dress.

She was spot on with her suggestion. We both loved the dress and placed an order.

Today we want in and picked up her dream dress and it was everything she imagined it to be and more.

I flew from the Gold Coast to find my dream gown at Abbey Bridal Sydney and could not be happier. From the moment I walked into the store I felt comfortable and welcome. The staff were first class, extremely patient and friendly and made the experience very special for me. Not only did I receive unbelievable service I also found the most amazing Maggie Sottero gown that I love. There were so many to choose from and they went out of their way to ensure I found the perfect gown for me. The quality of the fabric was amazing and they were spot on with their measurements. As I live in a different state it was no problem for them at all to courier the gown to me. I called up on the Monday to ask if it could be couriered and I received it by lunchtime the next day. The care they put into packaging the dress was also much appreciated. I could not speak highly enough of this company, the designers and their staff and the flight it cost to get there was worth every cent! I can not wait to wear my beautiful dream gown on my wedding day.

Couldn't be more disappointed and angry at this store. Appointment was made and everyone was please t, then in store you are greeted to be told they only have a size 6 sample size and you can "look at dresses but they not going to fit". This store ruined what was supposed to be a good moment for a bride. We were left to walk out embarrassed and left feeling like curvy girls are not welcome. This should be told to be over the phone or advertised as it was disgusting to tell someone they to big to fit so can only look. Wouldn't recommend for anyone!!

I went to Abby bridal recently and was shocked by the service. My friend who has two small children who were with a babysitter took a call on her mobile phone and during mid sentence with the caller was told to get off the phone as they have a no mobile policy I was shocked at how rude that was then to top it off they only had dresses in size 6 to try on!! I was told they only get samples in to fit the manaquines!! So for anyone bigger then a size 6 don't bother you will only be disappointed and have your confidence shattered when nothing fits over your hips and they simply say sorry we couldn't help you good luck and shove you out the door. I should not have even wasted my time.

I went into Abbey Bridal on the recommendation of a couple of friends who had had a great experience finding their gowns there. I was sure glad that I followed their advice! I must admit as excited as I was to go gown shopping, I was also quite nervous after a failed attempt at different shop earlier that week. As soon as I entered the store I was made to feel at ease. The lady at the desk introduced herself and offered my family and I a seat and their catalogues to browse through whilst we were waiting.

We were quickly met by Suzanne who my family and I instantly connected with. I felt that Suzanne listened to everything I was hoping for and also gave me the opportunity to browse their sale racks prior to looking at the more expensive gowns just incase there was one there that took my fancy at a cheaper price. I didn't feel pushed into anything and was offered beautiful gowns to view within my budget.

When it came to trying the gowns on, I was made to feel incredibly comfortable and as luck would have it, the first gown I tried on ended up being "the one". It was hugs all around from Suzanne and I was so excited that I ha found everything I was looking for through such a lovely experience.

We decided to return to Abbey Bridal for the following fittings/alterations and again, I am glad that I made this decision! The trip into the city for these appointments was definitely worth it! We were introduced to Jan who was to do the alteration to my gown. Jan is one clever lady! She gave me wonderful advice on what would be the most comfortable way to wear the gown whilst showing it off at it's best! Jan went above and beyond to make my gown perfect, literally working up to the last minute to make sure every last crystal was perfectly placed.

I felt like nothing less than a princess on my wedding day and have so many great memories of my time spent at Abbey Bridal. There are a few reviews on here that are less than kind, however I would suggest to any Bride To Be that is considering a visit to go for it!
