From the moment I stepped in with my special ladies , I was made to feel very special and relaxed. After trying on my chosen dresses, you pulled out 'the dress' for me! I was amazed how you managed to gauge which dress would be best suited to me and my taste. I was equally delighted as ' the dress' you found for me was the exact dress that I had spotted on your website and forgotten all about when I arrived at the shop. I just love it !!

The goody bag and glass of champers for us all to celebrate was a lovely touch too and amazingly, you played one of my fiancé's favourite band Simply Red' in the back ground when I said 'yes to the dress' :)) Was truly meant to be!!

Terrible service, didn't make you feel special and don't listen. The sales advisors clearly trying too hard to sell dresses it comes across quite forceful. We were offered drinks and they never came. When you enter shop girls on front counter are always eating and look unprofessional. Sadly was talked into buying a dress in a blind panic that I wouldn't have time until my wedding. After trying on the dress for the second time I decided I didn't like it anymore and would rather not go back in the shop.

Wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone.

I have been to many bridal shops and I have to say Serenity Brides welcome was fabulous. I think they are first class in their enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for what they do. I was made to feel at ease straightaway which is just what you need when you are nervously excited about choosing “the dress”. Huge choice of dresses and nothing is too much trouble. The girls are fantastic and just love what they do which makes you feel you are in the right place for finding the perfect dress!

I was late for my appointment but the lady serving ne tried her best to keep me calm and to adhere to my dress requirements.

I had been to sooo many shops previously and although a couple were good and one was bad

Serenity blows them out the water.

I had tried on soo many dresses and unable to find "the one"and serenity bridal

Helped me find the perfect dress :) !!!! Would totally reccomend to anyone!

The ladies were welcoming and attentive and the shop was clean and warm.

Like most brides, I went to every shop in town! I could have saved myself the trouble because most of them where lukewarm to say the least and in a couple they looked at me like I was something that came in on their shoes!!

In Serenity, I was made welcome - I am a large bride and I was made to feel as beautiful as any other by the staff. They also gave me lots of help as to which dress suited me.

They took time, asked me about my plans and were even interested in my future husband and how we met.

I found my dream dress - and they explained the ordering procedure in full to me....I was not left with unanswered questions. I feel confident that Serenity will be with me every step of the way - thankyou ladies!!!

We got my wedding dress, the suits, bridesmaid dresses and jewlerry from Serenity Brides. The shop was so friednly and welcoming unlike some wedding shops we went to. I walked in without an appointment and tried on many a wedding dress, the girls in there were so friednly and helpful and nothing was to much trouble, even encouraging me to try on many different dresses. I choose my dress and it was perfect exctly what i had imagined and wanted.

When it came to the suits and the bridesmaid dresses, they was again so helpful and encouraged us to try on many different styles till we found the perfect one.

Nothing seemed to much trouble and all phonecalls and questions were answered. The staff were always so happy and friendly and made me feel special everytime i walked in there.All of our guests commented on how beautiful my dress was, how smart the boys looked and how lovely the bridesmaid dresses was. They helped to start the big day off smoothly and made our day even more special :-)

I rang the shop after being proposed to 1 February and wanted to get married 12 March, yes, in the same year! With less than five weeks to go, Serenity was the second bridal shop I visited, as the first one, although closer to home, were not able to help me. I rang and explained I wanted a bridesmaid/cocktail dress, as it was second time around and I was in my 40's. I had seen the dress I wanted and they had one in stock. It was set aside for me and I raced to the shop the same day.

I walked into the shop fairly late in the day on the Friday afternoon and, given my inexpensive choice of dress, and my non-conformist approach to a wedding, I was still made to feel so very special! In fact, I think Ashleigh, and the owner (whose name escapes me, but she is lovely) changed my view of the whole wedding and I felt like a blushing bride rather than a 40- something making it legal!

They had the alterations done in very good time, and their customer service is superb. I would have no hesitation to recommend them for bridal, mother of the bride, cocktail and evening dresses as they have a great selection. Indeed, I have since recommend them to another second time around bride.

I cannot fault Serenity Brides and wish them ongoing success. If they make all their customers feel as special as I did, then I am certain they will continue to flourish. I sincerely hope they do!

All the Girls at Serenity have made the lead up to my wedding an absolute joy. They were all so polite and friendly nothing was to much bother at all. They are all very knowlegable at what they do which makes the whole process very relaxing.

I got the most stunning dress and gorgeous bridesmaids dresses there and we hired the mens suits also.

If we had any questions at all big or small they answered everytime.

I was so impressed with Serenity that they were mentioned in my order of service and at the end of my wedding video.

I went to several shops I now feel an expert shhh I tried 72 dresses on ha ha and by far this was the very best place I could of gone to.

Im going on a cruise for my honeymoon and I have even gone back to get some sale bridesmaid dresses as evening gowns for the formal nights on board thank god I have an excuse to go back in there.

To sum it up Serenity decor is stunning, The Girls are wonderful, The Dresses range from Simple Elegance to Sparkle heaven(which I had) Thank you all for helping to make my wedding what it was.

My first visit to the shop, when I chose my dress & my bridesmaids dresses, could not have gone better. I made an appointment for 2pm and we had a wonderful afternoon. Between that and my next visit (fitting) Ashleigh was only ever an email away and was brilliant, answering any questions I had and placing orders.

I was a little confused when the girl that made my first fitting appointment said that they only did appointments first or last thing (considering the time of my first appointment was 2pm) so I made it clear to her I'd probably be 20mins late due to traffic (I do not live in Colchester). Despite knowing this the girl who greated me was extremely rude and confrontational, saying they were busy so I couldn't have my fitting. The shop was empty and remained so for 1/2hour after that. Thankfully Ashleigh stepped in & allowed me to have the fitting with no worries or anything. Again, she was brilliant even helping me to chose a veil and hair accessories.

My final fitting was a few weeks before the wedding. In this I asked for ah alter strap to be fitted for extra support, a button & hook added so I could hide the train in the evening and I requested the waist be taken in by 2inch as I am a top heavy person so although snug on top the dress was very baggy in the middle, even when the corset top was pulled as tight as it would go. That was the last time I tried the dress before the wedding.

On my wedding day I cried when I put the dress on. Yes it was stunning & the one I chose, but the alterations were a shambles! There was no butto for the train, the waist clearly had not been taken in at all & the halter strap was so long it offered no support and didn't even look nice. Throughout the day due to this bad fit the crept lower and lower - if I wanted the world to see that much of my J-cups I have become a stripper! The dress also sat very unattractively in a bulge around my middle which on some pictures made me look pregnant!

On the other hand the bridesmaid dresses were perfect, good job really as I don't think I would have got through the day if we were all as unhappy about our outfits as I was!

Very VERY disappointed. Ashleigh was wonderful & of she ever works anywhere else I would recomend her in a heartbeat. The rest of Serenity Bridal though, not a chance!!
