Was Ok But Rules Have Changed

It is of limited use. Only eligible on some garden items and even then not allowable on any discounted items. As this is a discount store the card is a joke. If you use it as I have twice recently the receipt states New Diamond Discount £0.00

Well thank you Kingfisher, I have binned my card

10% Wednesday That's A Laugh

Took mum today to buy some bits, I had been sent £3 off if spent 25

So, spent over £100 on fence paint, matt emulusion paint, bin bags,a stand-up dustpan and brush, fan for mums room and small weed killer.

after discount came to £97 and some change, thought that was strange, they had applied the £3 off voucher and the 10% discount was on the weed killer 35 pence, the other items were exempt, now since 2018 only on gardening and Chritmas products, In July really!!

what a joke for a pensioner given that now most things are ruled out it is just on the things they want to sell, loyalty card my a*#se

Used to be to reward pensioners for shopping in their droves on a Wednesday the quiet day and it worked now it is just insulting to go there.

(From 3 September 2018, your Diamond Card discount on Wednesdays is limited to selected gardening and Christmas products only.)

Are They Just Impossible To Contact?

Took out a Diamond Club Card 3 months after buying a house. Registered the card and gave B&Q my email address. Was supposed to receive a confirmation email from them. But didn't. Was supposed to receive confirmatory emails from them each time I bought from their stores. But didn't. Each purchase was registered at the tills using my Diamond Club Card - and was supposed to trigger a voucher being sent to me by B&Q. But didn't.

Consequently, I went on to their Diamond Club website and tried to contact them. Each time, their webpage told me that they had sent me a link to contact them online. But they didn't. Three (3) times I did this over the next 2 days. But, they never sent me a link.

I then looked for a telephone number (for their Diamond Club) but there was not such number on any of their web pages.

I then phoned the standard contact number for B&Q. They, in turn, gave me a number, which (surprise, surprise) when I called, was met by an answering machine which didn't even confirm that I had got through to B&Q. I was asked to leave a message. But didn't. The old folk (obviously) don't deserve direct contact with B&Q.

Guess what? I had had enough. I won't be trying to contact B&Q again. No company can be so stupid that they can't be contacted at a certain department. This is deliberate! Naively, I honestly thought that B&Q were better than this. I was wrong.

No Discount Applied

I have been using my Diamond card but only on the last transaction looked to see if a discount had been applied. It had not. I thought they had registered me in store but decided that perhaps this was the problem and would do it online, but firefox would not allow as it said this was an insecure site.

I have abandoned it.

Taps Didn't Qualify For 10% Discount.

Made special Wednesday visit to B@Q Exeter to buy kitchen mixer taps using Diamond card. After queuing at checkout was informed by the assistant that kitchen items inc the taps didn't qualify for the 10% discount. I said I wasn't aware of this and two other over 60's behind me in the queue said the same. Disappointed with B&Q over this - had assumed, as I'm sure many other people do, that 10% off covers all sore items.

Not Worth The Paper It Is Printed On

Being a member of the B&Q over sixties club "Diamond Card" is not all it cuts out to be. We have just returned after another disappointing visit where product availability was poor, service was poor and value for money awful. We bought three bags of compost which had a manufacturers offer (not B&Q's) of 3 for 2 - apparently this means they do not qualify for the 10% discount ! Not impressed. Spent nearly £30 and got just 30p for being a member. Sadly this branch of B&Q is dated in all areas but particularly staff attitudes. Having spoken to the manager on a previous occasion about rude staff he dismissed my comments in total so can only assume this approach is endorsed from the very top. Will only use this organisation again if I cannot find another solution.

They changed the rules. Bought three bags of Miracle Gro today. Shown outside as three for £18. Expected £1.80 discount but no. Assistant said it's not showing as a discountable item. I asked her to take advice and she came back saying "The three bags are already discounted so the 10% for which I had waited several days so I could get it on a Wednesday was not existent. Then... to annoy me even more I went to Morrison's and saw they do 3 bags for £17.
