I won my court case. The monster who stole £9,000 from me was ordered by the courts to reimburse me. Instead he went into hiding. To this day he has not paid me nor has he been found.

The Sheriffs Office started off well EXCEPT for the insane law of NOTIFYING the defendant prior to their arrival, each time! Needless to say each time he out-maneuvered them until he 'led' them to a room where he had supposedly moved to in a government care home. Clearly a set-up to stop being hounded by them. His affluent family both in UK and USA would never have allow this.

The Sheriffs Office kept prompting me with the carrot of hope! I kept paying them until they accepted that they'd found where he lived. They never saw him or spoke to him. They never got me a cent. They were outsmarted by the defendant. Declaring they'd done their job successfully they demanded final payment. I refuted this pointing out they'd been tricked. They ignored this and kept sending me bills regardless. Now they've DOUBLED the bill, threatening to sue me if I don't pay within 7 day! I should have listened to a friend who was in intelligence who said they were a waste of time. I relied on this money or at least part of it and at this moment and time do not have the £180 they claim is due them.

Absolutely appalling firm. I was ripped off by a cowboy builder, went to court and got CCJ, then appointed this bunch of wasters. The Sheriffs Office are the most unprofessional bunch of time wasters I have ever had to deal with and when you complain you are just ignored. They are supposed to be regulated by the HCEOA but they have no teeth because this 'Regulator' is run by the very HCEO's (Sheriffs) you are likely to be complaining about. Over a year now and my complaint is still not resolved. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY APPINTING THESE 'SHERIFFS', Sheriff Woody from Toy Story could do a better job than these people.

Stay away from this pathetic company , the staff are so rude and appalling customer services , they took my case in which had taken 2 years , 2 letters sent to the company , never had an update from the sheriffs on my case always had to make calls for updates , then got an invoice after they failed to get my 5 k back, instead they rubbed more salt on the wound demanding and threatening letters for the admin fee of £90 this is for the awful customer services , please stay away from them, never recommend them .

I hired the sheriffs office to enforce my writ. They sent a letter to the company which owed me money although I had already told them the company had threatened to close so I wouldn't get anything. They told the company that they would visit in 14 days. Exactly 14 days later the companies web site army offline. And when the officers went the premises were empty.

They then chatted me more money to do a trace on the owner which I paid. They faced his home address only to tell me they could not enforce the writ at a home address.

They advised me to change the name on the writ which they said to get a solicitor involved for. I could not afford to lose any further money.

To put salt in the wound I then got a demand to pay a further £90 for services.

Would have been better off going there myself. I would have at least had the pleasure of thinking the guys business for a day.

I paid my fees to the Sheriffs Office to recover a County Court judgement that awarded me damages. I provided two addresses for sheriffs staff to trace the debtor and waited, and waited and waited. Eight months later and all I received was an invoice requesting payment for 'services'.

The company did nothing to trace the debtor and I have no evidence to show what sheriffs staff actually did to warrant the payment for 'services'

Don't believe the hype as in the tv programme The Sheriffs Are Coming, the company did little to recover the debt and certainly did not contact me to keep me updated.

Very poor service. It appears to be reliant on the free advertising the tv show has given the company. I certainly would not recommend this company,
