Pointless assessment day

Way too many people there

Director was rude

Basically looking for loud, airhead apprentice types

Waste of everybody's time

I went to the assessment day with more hope than expectation as I didn't entirely trust the process. However after a thorough but enjoyable day I was singled out by multiple recruitment agencies present at the assessment and was therefore set up with multiple interviews by the 1pgr team. In the end I had my first contract offer within 24 hours of the assessment day finishing which I think is pretty amazing! Would definitely recommend to others.

After attending an assessment day at 1st Place Graduate Recruitment I was incredible impressed at the organisation and running of the day. All of the staff were friendly and conducted themselves in a professional manner throughout the day, making both myself and other candidates feel at ease. It was a great opportunity to gain an insight into the sales and recruitment industry and I would not hesitate to recommend their services to family and friends.

After having gone to a similar assessment at a similar company, I have to say the difference between them and 1PGR was night and day. 1PGR's assessment process was thorough but fair and the opportunities they present are fantastic. Their professionalism is evident as soon as one walks into their office. The interview process, although lengthy, clearly displayed a certain level of organisation, which one would expect of a serious business. Overall, I was impressed by their sincerity and honesty: their staff are persuasive but not pushy and make it clear that they have no desire to place any of their candidates into roles for which they are ill-suited. Their staff certainly deserve to be commended on their professional approach and generally affable demeanour. Couldn't recommend enough.

1PGR went above and beyond to help me secure a job. They kept in constant contact offering friendly support and advice. They increased my confidence throughout the process and set up multiple interviews I may have not been able to secure myself, which led to a job offer! I couldn't recommend them enough.

1pgr are entirely responsible for getting me a job after what seemed like an endless search. Before I went through to 1pgr, I'd rarely hear back from any of the companies I'd been applying to, which was starting to get frustrating. Once I handed my CV into 1pgr and successfully completed their assessment day, however, I would have constant contact with employers as well as about 2 or 3 interviews per week! It was only a matter of a couple of weeks at this pace before I found the right job.

All the recruitment consultants were also incredibly nice and helpful and always fun to speak to, as well as being full of tips and good valuable advice. I'd highly recommend going through the company!

Pushy, arrogant and rude people. They ask anyone to come into a group interview just to have their numbers up, tried pushing most of the candidates towards sales... All of us wanted to leave after an hour (5 other people) and the person who got offered the role declined it, and that says a lot. No feedback given, let me quote the MD's words "uve been unsuccessful don't forget your things if u need feedback call the company" and that was after 3.5 hours or twisting our brains and taking the day off from work. Don't understand how this company even exists. Don't waste ur time going to a recruitment agency that recruits people for recruitment. It just doesn't make any sense, apply for the role directly.

I worked with 1PGR shortly after completing my university degree, and I have to say that the staff over at 1PGR were excellent. Not only did they reassure me at a time that I needed it most but their consultants kept regular contact with me, each contacting me as soon as a position was available.

They were each very personable with me and I felt completely at ease with their knowledge of the industry and advice.

After just two interviews with different companies 1PGR secured me a position with the third, helping me with every minute detail from preparing me for the interview to negotiating my contract.

I thoroughly recommend this company to any graduates who are serious about a career within Recruitment/Sales.

I would like to say a huge massive thank you to 1PGR who have succeeded in placing me into a dream job! After 8 weeks of persuing leads, answering my endless questions and supporting me via email and phone 24/7, I have finally reached the end goal of obtaining a job! I am apparently not allowed to mention names here, but I am sure those who know what they did know that I am grateful. During my process of interviewing, I was told by many people that this industry (recruitment) was a harsh reality in which you would have to deal with some very unpleasant people. However, after speaking to the team after such interviews, it would remind me that actually- a lot of people do just want the best for their candidates, and would do anything to help them continue on in their career (including talking to them on their day off whole they are with their child). The consultant was very professional and personable, and invited me to attend an assessment day with 1PGR. The assessment day was challenging yet enjoyable, with a professional yet friendly atmosphere where you could showcase your competencies through a variety of exercises. Following the assessment day, the consultants took into account the type of role I was looking for, and subsequently presented me with numerous interview opportunities suited to me. They let me choose which opportunities I wished to pursue, and swiftly booked me in for an interview. The preparation they provided was thorough, and my friendly and dedicated consultant was always communicating with me and keeping me up to date with the process. Within a week and a half from attending the 1PGR assessment day, I had secured a job offer from a fantastic company.
