Not good experience with Brook Street - Ashford branch to be exact, telling me one thing and meaning another time and time again not to mention lack of communication and never answering the phone. Also on Google 2 out the the 3 reviews that given Brook Street Ashford a 5 Star rating are people that work there or at least did at the time of the review - of course there gonna give 5 Stars !!! Agents were so bit misleading I must say !!! So yeah there you have it not everything is always black and white as it seems ! Period.

3 months I've been going back and fourth with this company for a TEMPORARY JOB. They wanted UNEDITED BANK STATEMENTS. They even threatened me with fraud for blacking out my personal purchases!

They wanted tax returns, tax numbers, passport, ID, Bank Card, National Insurance Card, a 30 page application form, bank statements from 2017. Yes, 2017. Professional references, normal references from 2017...

References from a job 6 years ago?! The company doesn't even exist anymore and yet their stupid application process is dead in the water because some dude I put down as a reference from a job I had 6 years ago didn't respond to you?!??!?!?!

Are you out of your god damned mind?!

What an utterly appalling company. WHEN they get data breached you're going to be a victim of fraud and you'll be doxed.

Be sure to invoke your right to erasure under "data protection law, Article 17 of the UK GDPR."

It is imperative that you do this. I cannot stress this enough. They are criminally intrusive. It should be illegal.

Great agency, he worked really hard to help secure a job for me. Good communication, professional and very helpful, highly recommend to anyone. He was fantastic.

I was looking for a full time job and I applied at brookstreet. The agent is amazing at what she does and she does it with great passion and is outstanding at communicating and be fast and efficient in supporting who she is working with. Hands down the best service I have received so far. Would highly recommend!!! Quick email replies, and very constructive and infromative with the replies she gives. Stays on top of helping you find a job and makes sure that you find a job whcih you are happy with. The best agent I have dealt with by far!

I have was a temp contractor through Brook St Inverness in a long term postion for over 2 years, the staff at the Inverness were always so helpful and kept in constant contact to make sure everything was ok with my position and my wages were always in my bank on time and the only time I had an issue it was resolved the same day. I would have no issues in returning to Brook Street Inverness should I ever require to.

I have worked for brook street for a few contracts. My experience of them if they are not great at communicating at all. Many of times their staff have been left in tears, due to their lack of ability to communicate or resolve matters effectively. Especially around PAY regarding overtime. I have been chasing brook street for over 1 month now. The amount of emails I sent that were ignored is truly Astonishing. Brook street lack basic communication skills. They seem to struggle to pick up a phone and call you to resolve anything! They will keyboard warrior you at 9pm, 10pm, but cannot seem to give a simple response during office hours! They need some serious Customer Service training. They never seem to read emails fully, just pick out the parts they feels like reading and answering . Leaving matters unresolved. They seem to lack basic common sense. I am have enjoyed the contracts I have had working for brook street. However, I am happy to not have to deal with brook street again any time soon. Good to get jobs, agency staff incompetent, rude, dismissive.

Don't use Brook Street! They demanded forms of ID and bank statements, hounding me daily for them, I gave everything required then suddenly nothing! Radio silence! Was worried that I'd sent over all these private docs and then didn't hear a word. Was never told properly what the job was or where it would be, had to constantly ask questions about the work and when I'd be starting, then I'm told I'll get a call Sunday night, and a confirmation email about starting on Monday - all evening nothing, good thing I didn't get up to go Monday morning as I heard nothing all day again! If you say you're going to call a client back, you bloody do it! Finally heard something Monday evening, was told again that I would get confirmation and that didn't come through till half 10 Monday night saying yes you're working at 9am Tuesday. Shocking lack of communication unless they need something from you. Also, had to send multiple responses or ID as they couldn't seem to keep track of everything, very frustrating answering the same questions over and over, and when you say you've already answered the questions or sent in something they're asking for again, they are very rude and don't care to listen. Their forms are poorly written and littered with errors, again that made me worried that this agency was not real! If you have any questions they won't pick up the phone or answer emails, absolutely abysmal. DO NOT USE!!

A very bad experience from Brook street, supposedly I done something wrong so this company I worked at via Brook Street didn't want me to come back and at no point did anyone bring this up with me or chatted to me about it ! This went down one Friday afternoon where this company made up their and contacted Brook Street and it was on a Sunday evening almost 9:00pm Brook Street informed me via text message and email not to come in and I get a call in morning from them explaining why !! So I was baffled as to why I was told not to come in, work level reduced maybe ? AND then it came to me, did someone get tested positive for Covid 19 in the office so everyone had to self isolate ? That got me worried as I met several different people over the weekend all on different occasions so yeah I couldn't sleep very well that night with worry !!! I feel Brookstreet didn't fight my corner at all and just given in to the demands of this company - should of at least hear my side of story first by contacting me ASAP - you DO NOT just send me a text message /email the very last minute and give no explanation especially that time of night !!!

I actually enjoyed working at this company as a result I turned down a interview a month previous which I wish I didn't as I felt bad if I did go to it - how wrong and stupid was I ? And isn't it strange that agencies like this can just get rid of you with no warning and notice yet if I wanted time off I had to give a weeks notice that's if the manager allows it !! Guess what Brook Street if I ever get to work for you again and I get an interview I call in sick and go to it ASAP - I swear I will do that and will NOT feel bad and I am NOT joking here !!! I can promise you that !! ZERO Stars more appropriate ! Shame on you Brook street for treating people this way !

A series of unfortunate events that led to the worst experience with an agency I have ever had. Unbelievable lack of communication and when they did finally speak to me because their excuses didn't make any sense. One of those situations where everything went wrong and zero responsibility was taken by them. Very embarrassing.
